WOW, I really enjoyed the post with the clips from the interviews about "Yes, Anastasia". I'm particurally intriqued now because I'm from Richmond, born and raised. I'm not much on history or fairy tales, but can somebody explain in detail what Anastasia is?? She's obviously some character from the past (fiction or not) who had endured quite a bit... She did have a story to tell, I'd like to hear it... In the place I live, there are very few Toriphiles like me. A few friends of mine and I were talking that we would LOVE to meet some more Ears With Feet in our area. So we thought about having some sort of get together. I know, it sounds stupid to get together just to meet. But we could meet, trade, chat and do whatever. Anyone have ideas on anything like this? Had I have though earlier about this, then we could have all went to a show nearby and met there. Silly me.... Well, if anyone is interested in having a Tori weekend in the Indiana/Iliinois/Ohio/Kentucky area, please e-mail me at Choirboy_Hotel@yahoo.com This all sounds nutz-o, but hey, it could be fun! I don't have a transcript of the show, but I read in a Danish newspaper that the Roskilde Foundation donated $25000 to RAINN. The Roskilde Foundation is the organization who organizes the Roskilde Festival. They gave Tori the cheque at a press conference just before her concert at the festival. - - Thomas Lauritsen Copenhagen, Denmark (work) (home) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 13 Jul 1998 20:37:04 +1000 From: Danielle Ringrose Subject: Re: Has anyone heard of this? *esmerelda98 asked politely: <> Has anyone heard of this? The addy for the catalogue is www.eil.com is anyone wants to go to it... Ah... something I *can* answer!! :) Okay, the only Tori Amos song on that compilation, was, IIRC, the Armand Van Helden (is that how you spell it?) mix of _Professional Widow_, and was a collection of the Hottest 100 songs of 1996(?). It's kind of a worthy collection to have as a yearly retrospective (provided you're into the alterna-ish younger market, I suppose, since the radio station [Triple J] *is* after all, a youth network in Australia), and is worth getting merely for Kristin Hersh's _Your Ghost_. Okay. I know something the overseas people don't! Makes me suddenly feel like a fountain of knowledge. And btw - my last post about the ToriCon event - sorry I wasn't more specific, because that's meant to be an AUSTRALIAN event, and all events mentioned in there aren't *really* related to their sister overseas events. Just thought I'd clear that up before someone became confused. Because it's been way too long since I updated my ToriTour web page. And for that I am very sorry. It really peeves me when others say they'll keep their pages updated and then don't. So now I can only be irritated at myself. When I started the ToriTour page I planned on keeping it current. About 3 weeks ago I decided that pneumonia might be fun. It wasn't! Unfortunately, most of that time I was way too sick to work on the pages. I just finished updating them with all the current information. I made some changes that I hope will help you to find what you want a little more easily. Let me know what you think. As always, if you have any additions, corrections, or comments, please send them.
