Tickets go on sale online at 11 am, and Ticketmaster has a chart to show the seating arrangement. Just look at the floor plan for 1/2 general admission 1/2 reserved. All tickets are the same price. Tickets may be given away on 103.7 FM. They gave some away yesterday and today, so I wouldn't be surprised if they still have some left to give away. I got it in the mail Thursday--yesterday afternoon. This thing really is too marvelous for words. I find it to be the best of the tour books ever done for Tori. Yes, there are gorgeous photos from the club tour and samples of photography from the record art shoots; but for me the main goodies in it are all the wonderful photos of Tori and her friends, musicians, and family during the making of the album in Cornwall, at dinners and holidays, photos of her wedding and the preparations for it, and a large number of photos of some of the less-heralded but no less- dedicated souls who work their butts off to make the tours special for all of *us*. It's an instant nostalgia trip for me to be able to see photos of those people who we see all the time at the shows. For many of those folks, it's their third or even fourth tour with Tori; such as Kelly, who manages the merchandise sales at the shows, and who has been touring with Tori since the LE days of touring with two cars. Tori is quite loyal to the people who work for her, and the loyalty pays off in return. I think I'll ask Kelly to autograph her photo in my copy the next time I see her. :-) Others can provide more specific information on how to order this tour book, which I highly recommend to anyone who won't be seeing her from this point on during the rest of the tour, or who can't wait until they see an upcoming show and can pick one up themself. I do have an address from which you can supposedly order one, though: Big Tours 12 Deer Park Road London, SW19 3FB ENGLAND Telephone: 0181 540 8211 I believe I saw somewhere that they cost seven English Pounds, but don't quote me on that. Just wait for someone who has successfully ordered one to write in and let us know how much postage and handling are, etc. (Paging Mike Gray, or anyone else. Has anyone successfully ordered one of these from The States?) One other thing. In the tour credits there's a listing for Steve Sanchez as "Security." (Joel Hopkins is listed as "Security Director.") I know there has been some speculation as to whether Steve was gonna return on this tour, and from something Joel told a friend of mine in Atlanta it seemed as if he might later, and I suppose this pretty much answers *that* question. A lot of people had some serious problems and/or run-ins with Steve on the DDI tour. My thoughts on this are that folks might be surprised at how much more respectfully he treats people the next time they see him. It seemed to me that he really warmed up and "got it" toward the end of the DDI tour. And I think the *last* thing any of us need is to break in another security guy from scratch this time around. Ugh. Joel is even more amazing on this tour than he was on the DDI tour. He regularly does things not called for in the job description of being a personal bodyguard and security director--nice things for people all the time. He really blows me away. I understand that some of his duties were farmed out to other people, which may have left him with even more time for expressing his humanity. But there's only one Joel. Steve isn't ever gonna be like Joel, and while I can't promise he'll be a great guy this time out, if the end of the last tour was any indication, then Steve won't be such a pill to take on this tour. Let's all keep our fingers crossed for civility all around when security is called for. I know that Tori intends to continue meeting with folks before the shows, and although the venues will be much larger on the coming U.S. leg of the tour, my thinking is that the number of folks waiting to speak with her in the afternoon won't rise dramatically over what it was near the end of the DDI tour. I mean, most of us who know about doing it and are going to shows were probably *already* going to shows on the last tour. We'll soon see whether or not I'm way off-base. And then, all too soon, she'll be gone until the next time.... Be seeing you, Richard Handal, H.G. Hi! The special on TMF (Dutch music TV channel) about Tori was fantastic! Apparently, they interviewed tori in Cornwall, UK while she was still working on her album, back in January. Anyway, she spoke about her newest album, about working with a band, the usual stuff. She briefly discussed a few songs on the album. She said Iieee was about death and that Northern Lad was the ultimate love song. She played a delightful piano-only version of Playboy Mommy for the TV crew (even without a microphone, just tori + piano) but we only got to see tiny bits of it. It sounds 10 times better than the album version though, so I sure hope she^Òll release that version as a B-side on the single!! Fischer" Subject: Seattle Tori concerts I just thought I'd throw out the idea that Tori fans in Seattle should write a letter to her management about how screwed-over we seem to be getting by whoever is in charge of Tori's shows here. I realize Tori has nothing to do with it, but maybe if her management is aware of it something will be done. I referring to the fact that the tickets that went on sale for her Sept. 11th show were mostly general admission. People could not even buy reserved seats until the GA ones were sold. Nevermind the fact that the reserved seats are pretty crappy. When my friends and I talked to Caton after her show here on May 3rd he said that the point of doing a bigger show would be so that fans would not have to camp overnight for seats or tickets. This seems to be what's happened in other cities, but so much for that happening here! I'm also complaining about the way people were treated at the show at the Moore. We supposedly all had to camp out for our seats at that show so we could generate publicity - too bad that no one ever showed up with video cameras or news crews. The only publicity generated by fans was when the website crew taped comments by various people in line, and they arrived only a couple of hours before the show. The show was totally disorganized when it came to meeting Tori - staff members told people different stories about where the meet & greet would be, they lied to us claiming that the first 30 people in line would get special tags to be in the orchaestra pit - never happened, and they claimed to support the number system organized by fans while they told other people in line to just ignore it. Everywhere else on this tour most tickets seem to be reserved seating, but Seattle fans now have to deal with this general admission crap all over again. Tickets were given away on the radio station, leading people to believe they had front row seats - but they will have to scramble for a good spot with everyone else. The contest ads were misleading, and I'm tired of seeing fans getting screwed over so the suits can see how far we'll jump. The shows here for the BFP tour were all reserved seating, and it went just fine, and I've been to concerts at the Key Arena before where it has been completely reserved seating. So the problem seems to be with whoever is in charge of organizing the events in Seattle for Tori's tour. Please email me back privately if you would like to sign a letter to her management about the concert organization situation in Seattle. I got to an out of the way ticket master location about 9 this morning and I brought a friend along who was going to buy coal chamber tickets. We get there and we're the ONLY ones there NOT buying tickets for Rod Stewart. The held a lottery for 29 people - I got the second to last ticket and my friend Angie got the 3rd one. So I gave her my money to buy my Tori tickets and I got her money to buy the CC tickets (G.A so it didn't really matter for hers) I've never been to the landmark theater but I landed tickets in ORCH B row A ...it says "orch right center" underneath it - has anyone ever been there before? I have a pretty good idea that I'm by the stage but I'm not sure where. I hope everyone else got good tickets!! ~~ Mellie ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I know I'm an acquired taste - I'm anchovies.
