Is there any software/screensaver out there that taked those images from a file and uses them for your screensaver? To all those disgruntled EwF: I am kinda ticked. I like many of you can't check the www.tori.com page out either. I thought it was just me, but after reading the several emails I know I am not alone. It's 9:10 CST and I still can't get in. I tried Beth's advice... still no go. It's very aggrivivating because after a long day I wanted to come home and check out this page! I'm not blaming Atlantic, but I just wish they would fix the problem. It's been five hours since the supposed opening. If anyone has any more advice or even a SPECIFIC WEB addy to the page, lemme know. I am wondering why my browser is transferred to an IP addy. HEY TECHIE GENIUSES, what's the deal!? Thanks for your help. Laura ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 10 Apr 1998 20:23:08 -0600 From: allthegirlshateher@juno.com (Warren C. Again, I agree wholeheartedly. But, in a slightly different direction, someone in here mentioned that one would be able to hook audio equiptment into their computer to record the song. Is anyone actually planning on doing this? It's available rather soon, right? If anyone is going to do this, I would be extremely interested in trading, or whatever, for this, of course. I'm sure other would too. You know, so we can hear the song. Not just to f--- with Atlantic and ATT&T. :) Warren _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. If a lot of you hadnt heard HFS made the announcement that tickets went on sale TODAY not tomorrow morning AND they went on sale in a different location. As soon as i heard the location i got my butt in the car to go... so there were a few complications... I got lost. I am horrible about direction and it took me forever to find the damn place. Then when i got there, they had been sold out for half an hour already. But wait, there's more! This is not the worse of it! So i am in DC when this guy was trying to parallel park and he rammed into my car. My brand new car!!! I couldnt believe it! And then he started yelling some shit about how I hit his damn car!!! I was highly unamused. So of course i had to see what damage was made to my car. I pulled over (more time wasted to get to the club) and my first thought was "My father is gonna kill me!!" But i got back in the car because i desperately wanted tickets. As i was driving away some random guy came up to my car and spit on the windows! Talk about disgusting and rude! So, anyway, that is my miserable story. Now i am in search of a ticket to the DC show. So if anyone out there has a spare, i will pay al the money in the world to go (i have $60 cash in my pocket now!). The bright side of things...I met some cool Toriphiles. I didnt get to meet everyone that i wanted to meet. I am sure they had come and gone already. But it was nice to have some new friends to talk about tori with :) I cant believe i drove all the way home from school (a 3hr drive) to try to get Tori tickets and not only didnt get the tickets, but got hit by a car and spat at! What a night!! *sigh* Hope all of ya'll who got tickets enjoy the concert. What is the proper pronunciation of Tori's last name? Because the folks on Letterman say it with a long 'o', and I've always thought it was a short 'o' sound. 'Kay, well anyway, just curious. Thanks anyone for helping. That was the one I accepted. I had several offers from people who were willing to come get me since my car is so dead (one kind Toriphile offered to drive up from MD and another offered to come down from NYC--WOW!!!), and other offers of "extras". So thank you, thank you thank you infinity! And a sweet *raisin grrl* traded me so I have now heard the four track promo, today. What a *Good Friday*! ;) *Spark*--well, the sound from the tape was even better than what I heard off the radio. This song blows me away! *Jackie's Strength*--I identify so strongly with this song. Guess being raised in the same era as Tori really makes me see how close I am to this song. The music is simply glorious. But the lyrics--oh, my breaking heart. I dreamed of the Camalot that died when I was so little, and admired Jackie my whole life. Yes, her strength, her courage in the face of tragedy. And are you aware she lost a baby also?? *Raspberry Swirl*--If any song off this album hits heavy air and club play, this is it! All the ingredients of a radio hit--distorted sounds, unintelligible lyrics and a great tribal dance beat in the background. And a big plus--the simulated *sounds* underneath it all embarresses my oh so mature 16 year old daughter. *Oohh, Ahh, Sigh* *giggle* ;) *Playboy Mommy*--My heart breaks with this song. The music is simple, rythmic but the lyrics devoted to that wonderful, lost child. As I gravitated towards *HJ* on BfP, I turn to this as the song that touches my soul the most. I even relate in my very alive and current relationship with my daughter--that i wasn't there when it counted, she is so like me, yet so ashamed at times. Tori's true gift shines in this song. *apoligies to those who think music takes precedence over lyrics* So the one hour countdown begins for me on Letterman--tape at the ready. to all those reading this after your ticket ordeal, hope it was sucessful. Especially John and Claire!!!! Who have precedence over all the Fairy Blessings that I'm allowed to give out!
