There is something so special about hearing a song on the radio, as opposed to listening to the cd or cassette. On my commute into work this morning I flipped from Howard Stern to HFS (Long story, but I hate their new morning guy--he's too mainstream!!!!) just in time to hear the very beginning of Spark. Goosebumps. I guess everyone knows just how excited I am! I've been a faithful listener to HFS for over 10 years, and this new morning guy has a lot of regular listeners worried about the direction of the station. I think their airing of Spark has renewed my faith! Now if they'd just bring back the Morning Product..... It was kindly translated by Toriphile Katja Laitinen and sent to me. This interview is essential reading, and also reveals some sad news. Tori got pregnant during the closing months of the Dew Drop Inn tour but had a miscarriage. She talks opening about the experience, and the fact that it is part of the inspiration behind the new album. She also talks about her upbringing, her Ears With Feet, and even mentions Prodigy's controversial song from last year. She did it at the show I saw in August 1996, and ISTR that she started it a couple of months before that. I think the dance -originally- was an abstract representation of her desire to have a child. Whether or not it took on greater meaning for her after she became pregnant is another story. /nad *************************************************************************** * Nadyne Mielke, CS majour, Southern Tech, Marietta, GA * * * * "I regret to say that we of the FBI are powerless to act in cases of * * oral-genital intimacy, unless it has in some way obstructed interstate * * commerce.
