This is just being published now, but I was wondering, there's a line in "Horses" where she says "but will you find me if Neil makes me a tree". Could these two things be related at all? I mean, who's to say Neil hasn't had this ides since before "Horses" was written, and maybe Tori was hinting/challenging us or something? Well, I guess it's time for me to come out of lurking . . . I saw everyone else was sharing their ChronoTori's so I thought I'd share mine. I found Tori in August of 1994. I was at a family reunion and my cousin had UtP with her. We were up one night listening to tunes and she put Tori in. I listened half heartedly, we were talking and playing cards (and tricks on my other already sleeping cousin) when "Space Dog" came on. The beat and the guitar, everything about it just gave me shivers! When we got back to Idaho Falls, ID (we had been camping in Logan, UT) I borrowed her CD and copied it. My first Tori tape will always be special to me, you see, I put all the UtP songs on it, you know how on a 90 minute tape it gets almost to the end of Space Dog on one side and then it stops? Well, I put all the songs up to that point on one side, and put Yes Anastasia on the other, then, I put Space Dog on repeat and recored the rest of side B. Then, when I was talking to my cousin later she told me that Tori had another album beside UtP . . . I went out and bought the tape (I didn't have a CD player yet). I loved it, I remember feeling very surprised when MAAG came on. I was waiting for the intruments that never came. I love that song dearly. Later, I was reading some magazine and I saw that Tori had a new album coming out in January. When the time rolled around, I went out and bought the tape (again). I don't know why everyone says they didn't like the second half of BfP . . . I loved it. Well, now 3 years later, I have several bootlegs, I have one concert under my belt and at the end of the year I hope to have at least 2 more.=20 Someone asked about PJ Harvey, I love her!! I found her in August of 1996. :) The stores around here don't carry her stuff, so I have had to order my albums, I only have two. I love them both dearly and if someone is thinking of finding a new artist, go for her. :) But, I have to say, I LOVE Bj=F6rk .= . . One must look into her too. But, instead of me going through and telling everyone who I love, if your interested you can go look at my music page (not to be confused with my Tori Page) at http://www.angelfire.com/id/anastasia/music.html . . .=20 Ana said: >While I'm thinking about it, are there any fans of PJ Harvey on the list? >This is probably a long shot, since it seems few people have heard of >her. >i love love love love love love worship adore pj harvey >ana >- - >- - >this is not fair >- - >http://www.overlap.org >- - >cuz he penetrates me with his stare >- - >- - I LOVED YOUR PAGE!! It was so beautiful, if you are the author of the poems, I'm not a big fan of poetry as a general rule, but I loved yours!! I noticed that you called your page "this is sex without touching" . . . so you like Bj=F6rk as well. :) I love her. She's so cute. I have a small picture= archive of her up at http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/Pier/3006/ . . . just the Bj=F6rk files are pics of her. If your interested. =20 Well, I just want to mention one more thing, I have a page, called Emotional Scars (http://www.angelfire.com/id/anastasia/scars.html) . . . it's a place for people to share their issues and how they over came them, or how they tried to over come. I orginially thought of having people only telling about their problems and relating how Tori helped them through it. But, I've decided, even if Tori had nothing to do with your healing process, you can still tell your stori. I'd love to have more contributions. Please think about it, I've seen at least three people who would be very good for going on my page.=20 Thanks for your time . . . Toodles!! I been a Tori fan since 1994. I been on this mailing list for a month now and y'all talk about everything from Tori's shoe size to Tori's beaver picture. Well, I have a question for everybody. What is your least favorite Tori's song and why? I mean the that you always skip when you are playing her cd. Songs like "Way down," "Mr. Zebra," and "Agent Orange" don't count because those songs are too short. The song must be 3 minutes plus. My least favorite song is "Tear in your head." The reason is that the sound of the song. The song just doesn't fit on Little Earthquake. When I saw Tori in Richmond during her Dew Drop Inn Tour, she performed "Tear in your head" and halfway through the song she started to mess up and she said,'I really fucked this song up' and she stopped playing it. Precedence: bulk < My least fav tori song would have to be her version of "workers" from thee Toys sndrck. DAMN it sucks.> The song "worker" does suck, but the song, "happy worker" sounds really cool and worke i think is a take off of "happy worker" with that "tear in your hand" i like that song. the tori song that I usually skip would have to be I don't know, I used to always skip "Hey Jupiter" but then I started to really like that song. And I also used to skip "China" and "Mother" but now I really like both of them. I don't know, I love all of her songs except for "worker" that song is annoying. ~hanna~ ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 11 Jan 1998 21:12:21 -0600 From: girl goddess #9 Subject: Re: Re: Least favorite Tori's song for me it's if 6 was 9 and daisy dead petals. ana - - - - this is not fair - - http://www.overlap.org - - cuz he penetrates me with his stare - - - - ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 11 Jan 1998 22:42:57 EST From: Lil3rthqks Subject: Re: Tori quote speaking of the Tori quotes, is the quote of the day back yet? the last i heard, the owner was on vacation, but she said that she was switching to a majordomo server, so i'm not sure if my name got lost in the process. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 11 Jan 1998 22:33:48 EST From: Superwax2 Subject: Re: Least favorite Tori's song Hello all, i'm somewhat new to this list, and this being the first time i've posted, i figured "hey...i think i'll just say a bit about myself, after all...most others do, right?" and then i almost contradicted myself because lord knows i don't want to do something just because others do...so, i have myself in a bit of a state of indecision. But, feh, who needs to rethink themselves out of previous ideals. not me, that's for sure. anyway, i'm a 16 year old high school student...listened to Tori since 1993, i do believe, and i've been on this list thing since i'm not exactly sure when. but that's neither here nor there. i hate for my first post to be such a downer, but to answer the "least favorite tori song" question, mine would have to be "the pool" from the Winter single album. it's just too...cathedral-esque for me... keep your nose clean!
