I thought this would be a great topic since I am real curious what combinations Toriphiles would come up with and why. I'll post my answer as soon as I've thought of the right songs. I know that it may be a weird combination, but they are both so amazingly talented that I know they could do great things with each other's work and maybe Tori could still add one or two to her repertoire before she goes on tour if someone could just get to her and tell her. Hope everyone has a great New Years! While the sales on Christmas music are on, I'm stocking up on tunes to put on my musical Christmas card next year. This year, I decided to assemble a mix tape of my fave rave punk/new wave/alternative/indie songs about everyone's favourite holiday. Since Tori is right up there as one of my favourite musicians, I put "Little Drummer Boy" on this year's tape. I want to include Tori on my tape next year, but wanted to use something aside from "LDB" or "Winter". Has Tori ever recorded/performed any other Christmas songs that i could include on the tape? Also, I remember hearing a CD with Tori's holiday greetings. Anyone know anything about this? light on the egg, heavy on the nog, Chelsea ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 27 Dec 1997 14:30:07 -0500 From: "Little Baby." Subject: "Winter" Limited Edition CD5 Maxi Single Hello Tori-philes. =) I just picked this up at Tower the other day (lucky me. =), and I've been listening to it nonstop ever since. Just wondering if anyone has taken the time to decipher the words to Take to the Sky, Sweet Dreams, or Upside Down -- I can't find them anywhere. Thanks a bunch, and happy holidays (whichever remain for you!), Jules. =) - - - - - - - - - - - ljwyatt@ids2.idsonline.com || ICQ #1200421 alias littlebaby on IRC || AOL IM "Jules0109" GUSTER Representative Now Playing: "Crucify" EP by tori amos. I'm no musician, yet I can't stand to play a piano that's the slightest bit out of tune, or in a room with poor acoustics. I trust her in this! I've been lucky with one of my favorite bands for the last 12 years, Marillion. They were huge in the UK and Europe, but here, no one knew who they were! It was a problem at first, because they didn't tour much here, but when they did, they played *small* venues and were, and still are, very accessible to their fans. And, like Tori, their followers are extremely dedicated. It was like a huge celebration of their music at shows. In '88 their lead singer and songwriter left, a new one came in, and there are two camps of fans, but Fish is solo now, so I look at is as getting twice the amount of music. (But I do prefer the old stuff with Fish....) My 2 pennies. Stephanie ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 27 Dec 1997 16:24:57 -0500 From: geministar@webtv.net Subject: Re: "Winter" CD . . . Hey Jules . . . If you got the same "Winter" limited edition deluxe CD single that I did (the one with "Winter", "The Pool", "Take to the Sky", "Sweet Dreams", and "Upside Down"), there should be a hand-written copy of the lyrics included in the little pocket on the inside cover. If not, I can send you a site that has transcriptions for all of Tori's lyrics! Let me know . . . "sometimes I breathe you in, and I know you know . . ."
