Okay, someone mentioned the Winter single that "everyone on earth could own five of"... and I was wonderng, how much are these? because I have NEVER seen a Tori single from before the UTP era... and how much would someone charge for one of these? And, a little discussion for our list... Which one of Tori's singles has been the most sucessful so far? I don't mean in the US alone- I mean overall... But also, to any ToriEncyclopedias out there, which single did the best in the US? Tarot Scream! I'm not sure about what the best selling singles are. But, from what I've heard from around the country, the two singles that get the most airplay on radio are "Silent All These Years" and "Cornflake Girl" ... by far. I also used to hear a lot of "God", but not so much anymore. I bought it for $9.99 in Ottawa, Canada. It is the maxi-single with a picture of Tori on the front wearing a silver dress, lying on a white horse. It also comes with lyrics handwritten by Tori herself. The songs are great, especially Sweet Dreams and Upside Down. I was hoping that Winter would be a remix version but it's the same version as on LE. I would recommend it to all Tori collectors. It's not exactly rare, but it isn't common either. I haven't seen it again since I bought it, which was about 3 months ago. As for which singles were the most successful, the only one I've heard on the radio here in Canada is "Caught a Lite Sneeze" and that was only a few times. It's also the only Tori video I've ever seen. I feel so deprived; Much Music doesn't play Tori videos. I guess most of her success in Canada comes from word of mouth, because without my Tori-loving friends introducing her music to me, I would have probably never heard it. - --Allyson-- ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 11 Jul 1997 19:59:51 PDT From: "Lanna Chidester" Subject: Re: Winter singles... and singles in general... >Okay, someone mentioned the Winter single that "everyone on earth could own >five of"... and I was wonderng, how much are these? because I have NEVER >seen a Tori single from before the UTP era... and how much would someone >charge for one of these? I bought my copy of the Limited Edition CD5 Maxi Single in Bluefield, WV for either $6.99 or $7.99. (I can't remember, it's been a while since I bought it.) In the region that I live in Tori fans are very hard to come by. The record store around here are small and do not carry much Tori stuff, but I found this particular single at NRM if that has any meaning to anyone. myra ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V2 #186 *************************************
