Pele is mentioned very briefly, a certain woman looks to Pele when she needs to conjur up courage, or find her inner fire. Chelsea/Traumachik spoke of that as if it were fact. Tori has never said that she self-identifies as being bisexual. I think it's clear from things she's said, though, that she *has* felt some attraction for women before, and that certainly fits *my* definition of bisexual. I can't see how you could possibly have any problem with that, Marissa. If you require a specific chapter and verse reference, I can dig it out. If you sought to put an end to the topic, you picked a lousy way of trying to do it. It seemed dead already. I have a *major* problem with people forwarding totally bogus "virus warnings" to *any* mailing list. People never cease to amaze me. Be seeing you, Richard Handal, H.G. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Jun 1997 23:52:22 -0400 From: johanna Subject: Upside Down Fan Club--Tom responds hi boys and girls Tom Richards called me tonight.. he is guy that runs the Upside Down Tori Amos fan club. He faxed quite a lengthy letter to me and hoped that I could pass on this info to all of you that feel ripped off by him. Tom has been going through some difficult times as of late, to put it mildly. He ended up running the whole fan club by himself during the extensive Dew Drop Inn tour. This, while also having a business to tend to and without financial support from anyone but that of members' dues. Also during this time someone came to stay with him unexpectedly who "stole him blind" including letters/money going to the fan club while his own personal business was facing possible bankruptcy. It left Tom in both a state of severe depression from mid-'96 and pennyless depleting his personal savings with attorney fees and the like which he has just recently been able to take control of. Some of you might remember that Tom had a hotline just for Upside Down. Unfortunately, because of the many many calls from people because of Tori's increased public involvement in R.A.I.N.N. he had to stop answering those calls because they started turning into crisis center like calls instead of calls for the fan club. In light of all of this, Tom wishes to keep the fan club going though he has been hesitant because he has always said that he would not put out an issue of the fanzine without Tori's direct involvement and has not heard from her since talking to her at the airport before flying up to do her last Letterman show. Tom sends his apologies and hopes everyone understands that his intentions were never to cheat anyone. If anyone wants a copy of Tom's letters please let me know..I need to double check with him first because they are rather personal. I for one, know what it's like to go through huge personal turmoil in life which causes you not to be able to tend to your responsibilities as much as you'd like to. Though you all have the right to feel ignored and scammed. I don't know if or how Tom will be able to get the fan club back on its feet but I will be keeping in direct contact with him for a time to come so those of you that want me to pass on a message, let me know. evol, johanna faerie@poboxes.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 2 Jun 1997 21:36:53 -0700 (PDT) From: dEliriUm Subject: apology id like to apologize for a Warning forward.. i didnt know that is wasnt real.. my intentions were good & i figured that since i had gotten it from a mailing list that it was ok to send it to a mailing list... well once again im sorry & im embarrassed...
