Actually, it's only a temporary tattoo. She put it on for some of the promo BfP shots, and couldn't get it off in time for the Q shoot. I don't recall offhand what the tattoo actually is, though, or where you can see a better shot. Can someone out there bail me out? /nad *************************************************************************** * Nadyne Mielke, CS majour, Southern Tech, Marietta, GA * * * * "I regret to say that we of the FBI are powerless to act in cases of * * oral-genital intimacy, unless it has in some way obstructed interstate * * commerce. Since I'm pretty sure that she no longer has it, I'm inclined to believe that it was a temporary tattoo. Anyway, my point is that the "N" tattoo (while I'd never heard of it until this thread), is/was probably temporary as well. Is anyone looking for the Boys For Pele UK Songbook? If so e-mail me privately, I do not want to make this into a huge deal on a the mailing list. I have an extra one still packaged that I got for a gift when I already have one so I want to find a sincere tori fan to work out a deal with. As the subject pleez put Songbook. Subject: pet info i'm making a Pet page to add to the rest of my webpages, so... if anyone has any information regarding the band (it's on tori's igloo label) i would greatly appreciate it if you sent it along to me -- i'll credit it you with it also, i wanted to ask if it's okay, if i credit the sender and the source of the article, if i post tori articles on my tori webpage as well thanks jordan http://www.kenyon.edu/people/schmidtj/rainn.htm(<--tori) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 18 Apr 97 18:18:53 UT From: "Mickey Sun" Subject: Fake counter conspiracy I hit refresh on my browser on that page and the counter did not increment. Instead it gave me the same #hits but in another font. I hit refresh just for the hell of it, and it gave the same number but in Chinese characters. This led me to believe that her counter is fake. Plus, over 45,000 hits to a site relatively unknown to anyone else besides Toriphiles is somewhat implausible. Please feel free to correct me if you feel that I'm wrong. Sorry for the late reply, but my favorite monopoly in the world (Microsoft) has finally decided to upgrade their email servers (they are finally switching from SMTP to NNTP... I finally have the option of using Netscape to read my mail now!). I didn't get any mail for three days :( and I've only received one piece of mail today. Have a great one! I don't recall when I joined either, but I left about the same time as woj, and for similar reasons. It's a lot easier to quit a mailing list when you're facing a daunting mountain of unread digests that you really have no desire to read! I am the proud owner of one of those early RDT t-shirts though... anyone else remember those? >>If it was true that she had the first official site in the world, that >>wouldn't surprise me. Maybe someone else knows. > >i think tori had the first major-label record preview on the web -- weren't >clips of a couple songs available in their entirety on the web a week or so >before _boys for pele_ was released? I think woj is right here. I do recall a big deal made of that preview. I'd frankly be quite surprised if Tori had the first official site in the world, however. The big record labels, true to giant corporate tradition, weren't exactly at the cutting edge of WWW technology in its earlier days. My memory is refusing to cooperate fully here, but just to give an example: I think Nettwerk had its site (and Sarah McLachlan's) up and running long before Atlantic did. And Nettwerk had an official email address long before the website was up, too - check out those Sarah discs! I don't have mine here with me, but I'm pretty sure _Fumbling..._ had an email address on it, and perhaps _Solace_ as well. Other smaller labels had stuff online long before the major labels did, as well. For some reason, I don't think Tori's official website was even the first one on her own label's site. I don't remember it being there at the beginning. Steve - ------------------------------------------------------------------ Steve Ito, | "Life is pain, Highness.
