The NPR website only goes back with their program listings for All Things Considered, (the program hosted by Noah Adams), as far as September of 1994. Tori played Lisner Auditorium on March 27, 1994, and sure enough, I just called the NPR Order Center and ordered a tape of the interview on the phone by using a credit card. They don't have written transcripts back that far, only tapes. Here's how to order: http://www.npr.org/inside/transcripts/ Tapes $19.95, plus $2.95 S&H = $22.90 Transcripts $11.95, plus $2.95 S&H = $14.90 [Not available for this show.] All Things Considered - Now starting at 4pm on the East Coast. Does anyone know where I can get this cd? > Or is anyone willing to sell me theirs? Help! I need this bootleg! Okie, > *whining mode off*. Hehe, I go now. Finding bootlegs is really just a matter of luck. Sometimes, if you get lucky, the store you usually buy your boots from will be able to order it for you, but in the case of the Under the Covers disc, since it's on the oldish side, I doubt that they'll be able to order it. If your local boot store takes requests, ask them to keep an eye out for you for that disc. Several of the stores in my area will do this, and so I'm usually able to get ahold of something that I really want within a couple of months. Ask other stores that do business on the Internet if they have one in stock, or if they'll look for one for you. I always check out: Rainy Day Records http://www.rainy.com rainy@rainy.com (800)636-6166 They're damn cool people. They regularly stock *several* Tori boots at good prices. {The last I saw, they had Tori Stories for $69.95 {plus $5 shipping}, which is the lowest I've seen anyone report buying it for.} They also stock all of Ani DiFranco's albums, and good albums of local artists {Indigo Girls, REM, etc etc etc}. {They even stock old REM vinyl boots, which is pretty damn cool.} There are actually 3 versions of Under the Covers. IIRC, the original was born on the Really Deep Thoughts mailing list. It's a 100 minute cassette. Then a CD with the same name came out -> 74 minutes of music. IIRC, all the songs that are on the CD are also on the cassette, but some of them are different versions. There is also a second compilation from the folks over at RDT called Under the Covers II. My copy of this rather sucks, though. I don't know if it's just that I got it from a bad trader or if the original isn't that great either. If you're just looking for the music, and can live with having a cassette copy, email me and we can set up a trade or work out something if you don't have anything to trade. IMHO, the cassette is better than the CD {although I do like having stuff on disc!} because you get more music. /nad *************************************************************************** * Nadyne Mielke, CS majour, Southern Tech, Marietta, GA * * * * "I regret to say that we of the FBI are powerless to act in cases of * * oral-genital intimacy, unless it has in some way obstructed interstate * * commerce. Has anyone heard anything about the quality being improved and it being broadcasted a second time? Oh yeah, did anyone happen to hear it on the radio and get it on tape? Did some radiostations play the whole concert? Cause I heard most of them did bits and pieces of it. If anyone has a tape of the concert (a bootleg or what was played on the radio) please mail me.
