There It Is Clarification Sorry, I probably could of been a little clearer on that. I have it, I"ve heard Tori's version, but it's so unlike the original that I don't think it can even really classify as a cover. The only line that Tori uses from the song are the words "Whoomp there it is" and the rest is just silly Tori improv. Sorry for the confusion. :) katherine ------------------------------ From: ckone7@juno.com (Scott Francisco) Date: Sun, 24 Nov 1996 03:34:51 EST Subject: SNL This Just in: On November 30th Tori will be performing on saturday night live!! I was wondering, when did he open for her (which tour and approximately which monthes), and was he just solo on guitar? thanks, Cindy ------------------------------ From: Sam Free <106247.2224@compuserve.com> Date: Sun, 24 Nov 1996 15:56:20 -0500 Subject: BFP promo picture booklet Hey guys! I just found the coolest Tori item at a record fair. It's a BFP promo picture booklet in an orange slipcase - just bigger than a digipak CD size. Has anyone seen one of these or know anything about it? (Although I do realise I'm probably about 11 months out of date here!) It's got about 40 pages and its all Cindy Palmano shots from the BFP, CALS and Talula sessions plus some others I don't recognise - but most of these are shots that weren't used or are the full pictures before they were cut down. There's some great, but very small, shots of Tori playing a baby grand on the edge of a wood and it really looks to me like she's got no clothes on (?!!!). Has anyone seen any of these? Hopefully I won't sound too wacky for posting this here, but there's something very Tori-esque about their latest release, _Emperor_Tomato_Ketchup_. It's not that Laetita has given up her Moog for a fancy Bosendorfer setup, but there's a certain spareness to the production of _ETK_ that recalls some of the more inventive moments of _BfP_. Also, some of their approach to "dance music" recalls Tori's forays into same. Do you know what I'm talking about? - --Chelsea ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V1 #242 *************************************
