They re-run half-hour edits of old unpluggeds, with only the singles and songs they have videos for. Hey Jupiter, CALS, Talula, SLTS, and cornflake girl, if she did all of those (can't remember what she did on unplugged). Those are just my bets, I really don't know. Not that I have a problem with those songs, heheh... Does anyone know what songs weren't even included in the original hour-long unplugged? I mean, other than the retakes, where the mtv people didn't "like" her performance on the first, or second, take? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Josh Sutterfield Musician/DJ-Wannabe/Social-Retard Jester Shot Fluid MaLjaMiN joshu@umr.edu http://www.umr.edu/~joshu - --- The symphonies in my head shall not rest They are angry at my hands My inept hands ------------------------------ From: JennyFrog Date: Tue, 19 Nov 1996 11:53:10 -0600 Subject: Here. (Online Tori Merchandise!) Hi everyone :) Just wanted to remind you all of Here., the online Tori store. Here. specializes in rare and collectible Tori merchandise, but they also carry not-so-rare items. Right now, Here. has some really great older singles (i.e. Crucify UK Limited Edition & Silent All These Years UK Limited Edition) and promos (i.e. Precious Things), plus some great posters, etc., that might be harder to get. Check Here. out at http://www.psyberlink.net/~kyle/ and tell them you heard about Here. on ________ (fill in name of list here. :) Thanks! I have a recording of this release from Ilka, who used to be on RDT, and someone I've been missing on the net for some time already. (Ilka, if you're reading this: are you alive? (Wow, that's a nice retoric question...)) It was indeed released in 1992 and it consists, as far as I know, of three mixes featuring the line "So I must get out of this" from "Me and a gun". The mixes aren't that spectacular, but the name Tori Amos on its own is enough to have prices skyrocket these days, hence the 75 quid. Ilka found the 12" in a sellout bin somewhere. I've only seen it in London, at a record exchange on Notting Hill Gate, both in the summer as well as two weeks ago. If you're ready to shell out almost 100 quid, then go there. BTW: Since you're writing about 1 track, this is probably not even the 12" I am writing about, but rather one track off it. But that's (part of) the story behind it. These songs were not included: Leather Putting The Damage On Doughnut Song Marianne Precious Things Me and A Gun Hey Jupiter (p/eg) was hey jupiter? I forget. Honey Space Dog It's a shame, because some of those songs were really excellent. Doughnut Song was the best i'd ever heard it, ever, and i wish that has been on the show.... sigh. And Space Dog was fun because she forgot the words and the audience had to tell her, except she couldn't hear us, even though we were shouting. And Honey was just.... Honey. Yum. Sigh. Okay, i'm going now. The handwritten notes included in the "Winter" CD5 say about "The Pool": "Voices: Tori Amos" No back-up singer mentioned, so it's probably an overdub.
