It was her mothers father, who is cherokee.... shouldn't this be quite obvious to all? Its quite a straight foward song.. ------------------------------ From: Kristina L Goetz Date: Sun, 10 Nov 1996 01:44:25 -0500 (EST) Subject: Re: Davenport Concert Review I have to agree with Mike- It makes me furious when people rant and rave at Tori shows during song and stories..... I mean, who are these people??? One other point to add, its always much nicer to greet Tori before the sound check, afterwards there is (in my experience) so much screaming that it is impossible to hear what she is telling the crowd--- its scary how little respect some people have for her. I don't think Tori is a goddess, she is however, an amazing woman. Kristina ------------------------------ From: "Donald G. And "Winter" and "Here. in my Head" have basically the same chord sequence in a slightly different order. ------------------------------ From: Ken Tough Date: Sun, 10 Nov 1996 15:05:50 +0000 Subject: Re: Really Deep Thoughts #279 >have you ever been silently listening. silently making a clay sculpture >while listening to music, in an empty art buidling, in the middle >of the night. and suddenly while in the midst of creating, thoughts >overwhelm your mind and you start to cry uncontrollably, or atleast >you'd like to think they were uncontrollable but maybe that's just >an excuse . i often listen to tori while i work on my art work, i find >it helps my creativity flow. and there is nothing in the world like >feeling like the only one being in existence molding clay, but not molding >creating. allowing oneself to be god, no less. quietly building a world >that everyone listens to in a different way. At the beginning of cornflake girl Tori gets up from the piano, skips to the front of the stage, and begins to dance. She does this little thing that reminds me of a mime trying to get out of a glass case. She also does a few other things that maybe someone else can describe, My brain isn't functioning right today. Let me see if I can elaborate a little more... Ok, so Caton usually starts this guitar solo (that's pretty cool) and Tori gets up, runs to the front of the stage and dances like...Um. Ok, well, at one point it looks like she is pulling a rope that is front of her down from the sky and she does this while jumping up and down a little and then she jumps around more...sorta like a lil' monkey. Its really cute though...I think you just have to see it. You'd just stare, seriously. - -K ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V1 #227 *************************************
