I don't think anyone has metioned this yet, so if no one has...then I will now. Ok, I guess the Party of Five soundtrack which is either coming out on the 12th or 19th of November and will have BT's Blue Skies on it, and then the single version is expected out on the 22nd or 26th, and BT's album (November 5th) *might* have Blue Skies on it, too. Wow. I need to scrounge up some money soon and quick! Incase you guys haven't heard Blue Skies yet, Mike has some Grrrreeaat clips at http://www.aye.net/~mikewhy/toriamos.html#btstuff What would we do without Mike? ------------------------------ From: meredith Date: Sun, 27 Oct 1996 18:30:07 -0500 Subject: various Hi! (I *never* pay attention to these things, so I really had no idea.) That's seriously weird. On the subject of opening acts, I must say that I've been extremely disappointed with all of Tori's opening acts throughout her current career, with the exception of Bill Miller. As a rule, I don't even plan to show up in time for the opening act any more. There are so many other people who would be great openers for her -- and why hasn't she ever had a female opening act, anyway? (I know what the answer to that question is, so it's presented rhetorically here.) What songs does Tori never play in concert? Ummm... I think she's only ever played "Girl" once, and "The Wrong Band" only once or twice, and those were only recently. She's never played "Way Down" or "Agent Orange", as far as I know, nor have I seen "The Pool" on any playlists. Thanks to those who brought up "Pretty Good Year" as the sequel to "Ode To The Banana King" -- I had no idea!!! That's really cool -- I'll have to listen to both in sequence and see if that provides any new insight. :) +==========================================================================+ | Meredith Tarr meth@smoe.org | | Boonton, NJ USA http://remus.rutgers.edu/~woj/meth | +==========================================================================+ | "There's a god out there, and god I wish it was mine" - Susan McKeown | +==========================================================================+ ------------------------------ From: Kristina L Goetz Date: Sun, 27 Oct 1996 19:11:50 -0500 (EST) Subject: Re: songs at shows this tour It is definatly the pool On Sun, 27 Oct 1996, Rusty M Shelby wrote: > >Subject: Re: questions > >Well.. she has definately played Mother quite a bit in concert. On a similar note, Pearl Jam (and I know it's off topic, strictly, but bear with me) had this really cool, funky kind of black folk music sort of guy who opened their show this tour, Ben Harper. It was divergant, and it had the mass of idiots in the crowd booing, but it was very nice of the band, and made the concert feel like a music festival. Y'obt., Rob Bowell I am just a worthless liar, I am just an imbicile. I will only complicate you, trust in me and fall as well. I will find the center in you, I will chew it up and leave. I will work to elevate you just enough to bring you down. -Maynard Jeff Keenan of Tool, "Sober" ------------------------------ From: ckone7@juno.com (Scott J Francisco) Date: Sun, 27 Oct 1996 20:23:21 EST Subject: Hey Jupiter Today while in Sam Goody, looking for a dance mix CD. i stumbled across Hey Jupiter the single. After deciding wheather or not to get dance of the 90's or Hey Jupiter, I got Tori. Well I just wanted to tell all of you how great it is. It has: Hey Jupiter - dakota ver. sugar - live honey - live Proffesional Widdow - live over the rainbow - live I just love it. Even in her Under the Pink tour, I don't remember his name, but that opening act was a solo guitar playing singer. I really don't think that Tori thinks that she needs bad opening bands. She knows that we love her, and she doesn't need sucky opening acts to encourage us any more. I think Josh Clayton-Felt was great in concert, better than his CD, the parts I've heard anyways. And Willie Porter, earlier this year was good too, his rendition of the Scooby-Doo theme song was awesome!
