I just want to add to the confusion and talk about the German Release of "Hey Jupiter" which I just got from the store. :) These are the tracks: 1 Hey Jupiter 6.03 The Dakota Version 2 Professional Widow 3.45 Armandīs Star Trunk Funkinīmix (radio edit) 3 Sugar - live 5.43 4 Honey - live 4.19 Track 1 and 2 are listed as the title of the whole CD. The sleeve contains a very faint photograph of the surface of planet Jupiter, Tori Amos on the tree with stars in the background, Tori Amos on the tree with more green in the background, and just a photo of stars with the four additional lines: I go from day to day I know where the cupboards are I know where the car is parked I know he isnīt you Am I the only person who finds the releasing policy of Atlantic Records a little strange? They really make it hard to get all the "official" stuff. I mean, different US, UK, and GER releases? Please donīt tell me that there are even more different releases for Australia, Japan, or Mars... Itīs just not quite fair what they do. I want to hear the Merry Widow Version of PW, too, not just the funkinī trunkinī remixes. So thanks to Atlantic I need to order all over the world to get all the songs. Thatīs very nice. Thank you, Atlantic. Iīm really glad that I need to buy every CD three times, because I really donīt know what to do with my money anyway. Well, at least Tori sees some of it, I HOPE. I donīt want to appear very stupid, but IS there a logical explanation behind all these different releases ?? Okay, Iīm going. Stay calm. Fonty. :) ========================================================================= Fonty (Armin Vollstedt) [http://wwwstud.uni-giessen.de/~s3045/av.htm] Chasing Tornadoes [http://wwwstud.uni-giessen.de/~s3045/chasing.htm] ========================================================================= ------------------------------ From: seven11@juno.com (Dustin V Shelby) Date: Sat, 07 Sep 1996 12:04:14 EDT Subject: In the Springtime of His Voodoo The next US single from Boys For Pele will be "In the Springtime of His Voodoo." Interesting responses to my proposal. I agree that it would be practically impossible for Tori to pull off a peformance of the entire album in sequence, since she is very much controlled by whatever songs want to come out to play that evening. But if she did manage it, she could then do a short second set where she could improvise the set list and play the older stuff, b-sides, covers, and whatever else came to mind. There could be a compromise in there somewhere, but I'm certainly not going to write Tori's management and demand that they force her to do it. :) I wanted to mention that my Tori portraits came yesterday. About 4 months ago, I got a flyer in the mail from Sandra C. Davis, the photo editor for B-Side magazine advertising sets of photo prints of folks like Trent Reznor, Peter Murphy, Tori and a few other people, from the archives of the magazine. Two of the Tori shots were pretty nice, so I sent for them. I had totally forgotten about the order, but yesterday they arrived: two 11x14" signed and numbered prints. I had been worried that I'd waited too long to order, since the flyer got lost in the morass that is my desk for a while, but my prints are numbered 2/500, so I guess I needn't have worried. :) I even got a personal note attached to them apologizing for the long wait. (I wonder if I'm the only one who ordered?) The prints are of excellent quality. They're off getting framed now. :) Since it appears that there are tons left, and I'm sure there are others here who would be interested, here is the address to write for more information: Photo Portraits P.O. Box 345 Burlington, NJ 08016 She doesn't have an e-dress that I know of, unfortunately. I'm sure she'll be happy to send you out a flyer if you enclose a SASE with your inquiry. Prints are available in a half set of 2 shots, or a full set of 4. I think my set of 2 was $58. Not cheap, true, but you can't expect to not have to pay for limited-edition stuff like this. +========================PLEASE NOTE NEW E-DRESS!!!!!======================+ |Meredith Tarr meth@smoe.org| |Boonton, NJ USA http://remus.rutgers.edu/~woj/meth| +==========================================================================+ | "I envy you your ignorance, I hear that it's bliss" - Ani DiFranco | +==========================================================================+ ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V1 #170 *************************************
