I can't fault anything...except The Beekeeper because it just isn't a very interesting song. It was slow and monotonous. Ribbons Undone was not as syrupy as on the album, so I enjoyed it. I'll be on a high for days after that! Merman!! It was gorgeous and so was Marianne. Anyway, enough from me. Hope all the other Melbourneites enjoyed it. I suppose she was OK but found myself thinking about a third of the way through "where are the songs with 'energy'?" Don't Dream It's Over was nice enough, although maybe she could have done it on the organ to better reflect the original. 'Puff' was fun for about all of a minute... I wish she'd chosen a 'better' song to cover. Ribbons Undone coming after Mother Revolution & Mother was a saw-it-coming-a-mile-beforehand moment. On the +, it was nice to get Not the Red Baron, Mother & Beauty Queen/Horses. The audience wasn't too bad except the clapping during Happy Phantom, which didn't really bother me anyway as it's pretty much a 'throw-away' song. Naff. There was this girl who had been there since 9am and had organsied giving everyone numbers like they did in Sydney. I was number 31. They said we all had to line up and she would be here about 4pm. We were all excited and it was cold and it was so great meeting all the Tori fans. Im sure i met some people from here but i dont know. I asked a couple people "do u go to the toriforums?" So she ended up getting there about 5pm, The girl who had been there since 9 went and talked to the guard saying how unfair it was, good on her! but it didnt work. Tori came out and it was like WOW. She was talking, i couldnt hear a thing she was saying , i yelled out "can you please speak louder" lol, i think she said "what " or something then went on. She asked us what songs we wanted to hear. I yelled out Silent All These Years Please. Im pretty sure i was the only one who yelled it out. Then she went, was soooooo sad, was like i was on a high and then went low. I went and talked to the security guard to, begged, pleaded, tried to pull the sympathy card (its worked before) but it didnt work, Then i felt like crying and tears had come in my eyes and it was embarressing coz im sure some people saw me, so i went to the tolet and just let it out for about 20 minutes.... There were people last night who had one a competition to meet Tori, I even tried to beg the sony pepole to let me go as well, it has worked before, well not that close to the time, i emaild a radio station doing Alanis Morissette and said it and didtn expect anything but this girl rang me and was like your meeting Alanis.. Anyway then i started feeling selfish lol, then italked to some people out there they probably thought i was crazy... Then something pissed me off but i dont know if its really what happened, I saw this girl who had asked the sony chicks if she could go in as well, her friend had one the comp, but i thought maybe her friend didnt know she could bring someone and thats why she was asking. But they let this girl in, it looked to me like the sony girl had let this girl take 2 friends in, that made me so mad, but i thought maybe i got it wrong... Then i had a ticket freak out lol, i had a new bag with al lthese pockets, i couldnt find my ticket, started freaking out, looked in my bag couldnt find it, I ran to the box office where id been earlier and the guy had seen my ticket, and said id lost it, he gave me arep[lacement, but of coarse later i found my ticket lol Then there was the concert, wow amazing!, I had my monocular and cojd see her so well with that, Without my monocular she looked like a white triangle with red on teh top and i could see her arms lol. She was amazing The last song was Silent All These Years, OMG i was so happy she sang that song. I wonder how much she was intending to play it , or maybe she played it coz i yelled it out at the meet and greet!! so it was pretty good, still down for not getting to meet her, I wish i had written a letter or somthing and given it to her, try and do that next week. ANyway, if anyone bothered reading this, wow lol. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 12 May 2005 22:17:51 -0700 (PDT) From: Natti "®" Subject: Re: [oztori] 1st Melb Show Belinda wrote: > are u sure nathan was there? coz i bought a ticket > off him from ebay Damn I just realised I should have added "GAY INT" to the listing for my own amusement :( I'll have to sell something else of hers there... n.
