(Although there were people there much earlier.) Some enteprising (and organised!) person brought a whiteboard marker, and we each wrote a number on our hand, based on the order in which we arrived. About an hour later, Tori's tour manager arrived and explained that Tori was about to arrive, that she would be going straight into the venue (so we had to keep back and let her enter unobstructed), but that she would come out soon thereafter for the M&G. A few minutes later a minivan pulled up, Tori, Tash, the nanny, Chelsea and a few other people came out. Tori said 'hi' and said she'd see us again in a few minutes, and they all rushed inside. We were then instructed to queue (which we did based on order of our number), and Tori came back about 10 mins later (it must have been a few minutes after 3.00pm). She greeted everyone in turn, signed an item for everyone who asked, and posed for a photo with everyone who wanted one. She stayed until everyone had been met and greeted (about half an hour), then she said goodbye and told us she'd see us again at the concert. The whole thing was over by about 3.45 pm. Everyone was amazingly well behaved and respectful, and stuck to the system. Tori and her management were also really kind. I don't know how these things usually go, but I've heard horror stories about US M&Gs, but I don't think anyone there was disappointed. (The only weirdness came when a tour group walked past and couldn't work out what all the fuss was about, whether they were meant to queue with us (and, if so, for what!) and who it was they were meant to be standing in quiet reverence of. Also, a few people came out of the theatre (one huge ocker slob with stubbies and no shirt) and kind of gawked inquisitively, but they didn't disrupt the M&G, so all was well.) Tori was utterly beautiful up close. For all the talk about 'airbrushing' her photos, I thought she was flawlessly beautiful in the flesh -- more beautiful than in most professional photos. It was definitely worth going! Belinda... do you think it MIGHT be possible that for once you could locate that 'Delete' key just to the right of the alphabet keys, and use it? 99% of your emails to this list comprise of a 1-3 line reply with copious amounts of old emails still attached. It's really not that hard: 1) Type your reply. 2) For the portions of the email you're replying to which aren't directly addressed in your reply, highlight them (this can be done either using your mouse & scrolling down, or holding the shift key down as you manually scroll down the page using your 'down' cursor) & press Delete. This also applies to several 'newbies', hence me sending it to the entire list rather than just Belinda personally. Thanks ever so much, Nathan. Yahoo! Mail Stay connected, organized, and protected.
