Good luck come my way Hi all! I love that this list is so lively now! Is anyone meeting up at the second show in Melbourne on the 18th May? I managed to wrench 2 tickets over the phone via Visa Preferred from someone who must have gone offline so I am finally going to see Tori! I'm pretty much betting on shitty seats but as long as I get to hear her and grab a shirt/program, I don't mind. So anyway yeah, is anyone planning on meeting up at the second show from this list? Can I and my sister say hi? What is everyone from Melbourne planning to put down as a song for her to sing in her covers? May I suggest something by The Angels? Maybe "Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again" (audience extra input optional)? ************************************************ Now Playing: "Ultimate Kylie" (disc two) Please Visit: http://datura.glitterkitty.net "Homer no function beer well without." If Tori wanted to be on JJJ, her best bet would be to get Mark to capture that hypernasal drone down at a local Ostrayan pub while she's here. > Opinions are like assholes. I'd been thinking oztori was dead (hell, it was when I was last on it! I even checked a few times to see if I was still subscribed!) so hadn't signed up with my new email addy, but have just been informed otherwise, and with Tozza on her way and all... well, what the hell. I'm a-signin' up. Hi again to those I know, hi to those I don't! Just combing back through the last couple of pages of archives to get a feel for what's going on here at the moment (ahh, Nayth getting up everyone's noses as usual; some things never change, huh?), I'm noting seating in concerts and Renee Hill, whoever you are... *waves* You're gonna be sitting beside me! Well, if you're in seat 13, anyway, cuz I'm in 12. :-) And it looks like someone's polling people on cover versions they want her to do? Gawd, y'know, I never like the idea of covers until I hear them and they're good, so I really haven't thought about it at all. But on short notice... um... *scrolls briefly through mp3s*... Bonnie Tyler's 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' (*evil laugh*)... The Rolling Stones' 'Gimme Shelter'. Yeeeeah. Is the two-song poll happening here indicative of how many songs we really *do* get to request, out of interest? They don't bother trying to look like fans, 'cause they know they've got the goods. Scalpers often have several tickets that they're trying to get rid of, and I'd say that you can figure out that if some guy is selling 10 pairs of tickets in different locations, then he's probably a scalper. Individuals are more likely to be selling single tickets, they're probably looking a bit lost, and they're usually uncomfortable about bargaining about the price of the ticket. Find a nervous-looking guy (whose girlfriend put him up to selling their extra tickets), make him a lowball offer, and you'll be fine. :) Do make sure that you learn what a real ticket for the event looks like before you try this. Since it's clear that there are already people out there selling fake tickets (or just selling thin air, as happened to the original poster), you want to make sure that you know what a real ticket looks like. Call the box office or the ticket agency to ask for help in identifying fake tickets. And examine the ticket in person. /nm ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 13 Apr 2005 09:25:02 +1000 From: "Chloe Barnett" Subject: [oztori] Re: Enough Rope... Hi all, I contacted the Enough Program to see if I could get audience tickets early if they did decide to interview Tori. I have no idea why but they definately wont be interviewing her. I got an email back today letting me know. I dont know if we have to be more vocal (tho I thought we already were on that site) or Tori's promoters have knocked him back. I am thiinking shes probably going to appear on Rove instead. Check out Rove's link as well regularly to see if they will be doing so. Rove has been getting all the artists that have been coming out so I would say that is why Denton isnt interviewing her. Just thought I would pass it on!!! He does his interviews live and that is most likely going to be in the middle of the Brisbane show if that happens! Unless they get her in on the 17th May, day before the 2nd Melbourne show. Seems a bit odd doing an interview near the end of the tour though.
