She's saying that it's getting a bit much to have anything that's ever brought up here that is Tori-related immediately torn apart by Nathan so he can prove to the world how cynical he is. She doesn't seem to be complaining that there are non-Tori posts here. Bindy, does your email program have the ability to filter? If so, it seems like it's just easier to filter messages from specific posters to this list to the trash. It doesn't help you when other people respond, of course, but it might remove the most obnoxious of it. /nm ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Feb 2004 18:03:24 +1100 From: Jonceski Jasmina Subject: [oztori] FW: Forwarding this from Dan (oztori@iprimus.com.au). *** Good afternoon one and all. Ive thought about this for about 60 seconds, and decided to leave the list. There are a few reasons for this. As a group of adults, we certainly are (and some of us more than others) adept at behaving like children. The petty bullshit, the fighting, the flaming... the arrogance, the superiority complexes of certain members... The innability for people to actually discuss things that bother them. The people who think it is their right to upset people, and not accept the consequences of their own actions. Those that whine and complain, but never do anything to change the problem that theyre whining about. I find it difficult to believe that in this day and age, people don't have more important things to do than correct other peoples email grammar or spelling, or complain that theyve been reprimanded for something theyve done, because they feel its unfair or unjust. The world is a big place. We can sit around, hiding from the truths that life presents to us, so we dont have to face anything that might be difficult, or we can grow as people, and move on from petty childish things. I receive more SPAM from this list than I have ever received in my 7 odd years online... so thats another reason Im leaving the list. As far as the #OzTori chat channel on oz.org goes... I've decided to keep that. It is registered to myself after all, and I can still use it to chat on IRC with people. As there are some of you that have already created another channel, I dont see that this is going to be an issue. It's no longer going to be strictly for list members, so if I dont want somebody in there, I will permenantly remove them, which as channel owner, Im quite within my rights to do. So good bye to those that I do correspond with, and to the spam that the supposed 'admin' of the list allows by not hiding the email addresses of the members. I'll be killing this email address as of Wednesday 25th Feb. So if you feel the need to email me, you'll need to do it before then. Cheers, Dan a.k.a Merman. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 20 Feb 2004 18:06:37 +1100 From: Jonceski Jasmina Subject: [oztori] tori 4 sale List of Tori stuff I'm selling. At least it has generated a bit of traffic, I'm seeing names that I didn't think were still on the list! Is Lavender still on the list? >Bindy, does your email program have the ability to filter? Well, it's not as if we really post to ahem *those* posts... much - so a filter might be in order. >/nm ------------------------------ End of oztori-digest V4 #17 ***************************
