Now I have to figure out if I'd prefer to get the US digipack version, or at least if I could be bothered doing so. If you do get the US version, just remember that your DVD player has to be able to play all zones. The digipak is very nicely done though. ~Bindy Go to: http://www.livejournal.com/users/cancerian/ for Ramblings From The Moon Child _________________________________________________________________ Hot chart ringtones and polyphonics. I always play my CD's with treble to the max, and had it to the max, but there was still hardly any :( "IMO" it makes Tori's voice & the instrumentation sound almost *MONO* at times (as listened through headphones anyway), and LESS clear than the originals. It also seems that alot of the tracks were just made LOUDER and not 'cleaned up' - ie the 'tape hiss' sound is still over SATY. It is really obvious in contraste with the 'new' cello or whatever it is comes in during the last verse. Up to track 15 so far (I needed a 'break' after listening to this point) - and amazingly, the only 'reconditioning' I think I like at this point is MAAG! LOL. On this one at least the vocals sound crisp/clear and seem to not have any treble reduction. God was OK - although it's never been a song that I really cared too much for. I liked the choir senza Tori at the end too. It also seems that whatever "Tori" has done with the 'reconditioning' has done something to make her /k/ and /g/ sounds on several of the tracks (Precious Things & SATY stick out from memory) really stand out in a bad way IMO. "Poor Tori"... I wish she hadn't done this... "Oh well", I guess. Nathan. ===== "I don't eat. I don't sleep. I just rant." - Siobhan Fahey. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Not entirely sure I agree with that. The bass sounds like it is more cut out for me. Sounds more that the vocals were enhanced. >the 'tape hiss' sound >is still over SATY. Can one of the SQQ's (Sound Quality Queens for those that have forgotten) step up to the podium and enlighten us please? ~Bindy Go to: http://www.livejournal.com/users/cancerian/ for Ramblings From The Moon Child _________________________________________________________________ Hot chart ringtones and polyphonics. It's deffo lacking treble, though. Well it's not 'bass bass' like her being drowned out by Jon this last tour... but it's just not the 'crystal clear' sound I was hoping for. "Oh well". I don't notice it on all the tracks - the 2 newies, MAAG & Mary seem fine. Nathan. ===== "I don't eat. I don't sleep. I just rant." - Siobhan Fahey. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
