I never visited the Scarlet's Web site once. I watched the stupid DVD that came with the limited SW once. The 'trinket' has stayed in the box. Although 'we' might act like it online, Tori fans are *not* (for the better part) 9 year olds. Nathan. ===== "Yes, you are cynical, Nathan. And what format are iTunes in? A special/distinct iTunes format or mp3/wma/etc? And if the former (which I suspect), do I have to pay for an iTunes player? And, if not, will it be as passive-aggressive/co-dependent as Real Player? Grrrrr. Secondly, is *anyone* actually doing that Card Catalogue thing? I mean I can't believe that they're requiring us to spam everywhere on the internet ... like anyone will buy her album because their favourite message forum got spammed ... if anything it will just create more animosity towards that kooky Tori Anus. [Nathan, please roll your bloodshot eyes for me.] Thanks J tee hee, Tori should have called her GH album "Tori A[ni]mos[ity]". ===== ___________________________ www.livejournal.com/~blade_to_ice ___________________________ http://personals.yahoo.com.au - Yahoo! And what format are iTunes in? ITunes *is* available on the Windows platform, but not to "the rest of the world outside the United States". But I wouldn't worry about that too much... it's very likely to be on Diagnosed Sounds / Turbid Blue / Yessaid.com / All of the above within five minutes of it being offered on the service. >A special/distinct iTunes format or mp3/wma/etc? Songs purchased from the iTunes Music Store are in AAC format. AAC is the next generation of MP3. You can play it in most media players. On my Windows box, I use WinAmp for my AAC files without a problem. The biggest issue is actually that the iTunes Music Store is currently only available to US residents. /nm ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 06 Nov 2003 23:19:16 -0800 From: Nadyne Mielke Subject: Re: [oztori] Tori & her record companies need to make a bed, lie in it, go back to sleep At 11:09 PM 11/6/2003, Daniel Nolan wrote: >I have no idea, but would assume in some crappy proprietary streaming format. No, they're downloadable, and they're not proprietary. Apple very specifically didn't want to do streaming (which is what the record companies wanted them to do) because they wanted to use iTunes as a way to sell more iPods. /nm ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 6 Nov 2003 23:25:02 -0800 (PST) From: Nathan "®" Subject: [oztori] Tori's career's history (like a beat-up car) Nadyne Mielke wrote: > No, they're downloadable, and they're not > proprietary. I'm biting my knuckle & rolling my bloodshot eyes in anticipation of (supposably) 2005 where Tori's next album is either only available via streaming format online; or doesn't ever get released at all.
