A San Francisco radio station has released a compilation album which includes an exclusive live recording of ASF. It's solo, and I rather like it. (I'm more excited about the acoustic cover of 'Solsbury Hill' by Erasure on it; it's very different from their album version.) If you're interested in a copy, email me and we'll work something out. You can either send me money via PayPal (the disc is US$15.99, and I think shipping will be about another US$4), or we can work out a trade of some sort. Ask nicely and I can throw in some bootlegs that are hanging out on my hard drive. /nm - -- Nadyne Mielke nadyne@little-blue-world.org Little Blue World http://www.little-blue-world.org/ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 11 Oct 2003 08:41:49 GMT From: Rebecca Appleton Subject: Re: [oztori] Librarian's - insert rantings/ravings here On Tue, 07 Oct 2003 12:36:28 +1000, Simon Metcalf wrote: >Like my librarian from highschool, she was the BIGGEST cow. When I was there, she just smoked like a chimney and spat "Sh!" so much we wondered if she'd been a sprinkler in a past life. Maybe in the next one, for she also died in my senior year. She had this little like raised growth-like thing on her face (kind of like a wart, but it wasn't), and shoulder-length black hair. She also had this annoying way of speaking. She used to fill lunch & recess times by kicking people out of the library... she threw me out once for 'merely' passing a book through one of the book-shelves to someone on the other side. There was also this other Librarian, "Mr Wapling" (pronounced wop-ling) who was also my year 7 geography teacher (we were the only class that he took that year). He was maybe late 40's-ish at the time, tall, skinny, had glasses, and greying hair. And so farking boring to listen to. The kind of person who would no doubt spend weekends watching documentaries on whales, etc. ("no offence" to anyone here who enjoys doing that). He was hopeless at telling ppl off/controlling them. Nobody would listen. He also might have had like a subclinical stutter or something, because often before going to speak when saying something 'emotive' like telling us off, his mouth would make several different shapes before any words would start to come out. There were also some rumours that he got caught shoplifting some vegetables.. and that he was gay. He had quite limp wrists now that I think of it; although they weren't used in a 'flouncy' way - more a "stiff upper-lip reserved upper-class Englishman" way. Try being a Kate Bush fan - it's TEN years on November 1 since her last album was released... Although I guess that's not as long as Y Kant Tori Read fans have been waiting for YKTRII ;) Nathan. ===== "NATHAN, most of these people on the kylie list have the mentality of 12 year olds.
