I ran a spyware check and it turns out I have heaps of parasites, at least three, so I downloaded Ad Aware. I ran a deep drive scan and it found FavoriteMan and all of them, the only problem is, I don't know what I can remove or not. Will I ruin my Windows or IE if I remove something that's needed? Can someone help me? Thanks. I'm running Windows XP Professional, IE6 and Ad Aware6. I read that she wanted to do Blood Roses but I got the impression it didn't make the final cut? Anyone care to make any suggestions on what could/should appear as well (or conversly what can't/shouldn't appear). I'd like to see Professional Widow or Talula or SOMETHING with the harpsichord if there's no Blood Roses. As for TVAB and SW being represented, well who knows. And the whole librarian thing, she could recycle the image from the SLG album for the cover, I think it's the New Age woman that everyone thinks looks like a librarian!! :-) [well hopefully she's actually USED the originals & remastered them rather than covered her own songs] I'm sure she used would've used the originals, but probably added back-up vocals and other instrumentation. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 7 Sep 2003 23:20:45 -0700 (PDT) From: Nathan "®" Subject: Re: [oztori] Best of Simon Metcalf wrote: > So, basically we already know at least 9 of the > tracks appearing on the album: > > * Cornflake Girl > * Precious Things > * Silent All These Years > * Spark ..."but it's NOT a Greatest Hits!!!" (LOL said in the voice of "but it's NOT a covers album" - ppl who thought that SLG was going to be Tori's 'reply' to the songs she covered rather than direct covers circa Jun 2001). > * Mary > * Sweet Dreams Can they be hidden tracks or something so we can ignore :) > * Upside Down (this has been referred to in other > articles) > * Snow Cherries From France > * Angel - -s. Angels. > It's interesting to note there are no songs from > BFP, TVAB or Scarlet's Walk *bangs head on desk*... and tries to take a calm, slow, deep breath. OK Simon... Let's look at some facts: 1. Tori's contract with Atlantic ended on the release of SLG ("on mutual terms" if you believe for one second that Tori wasn't instead 'dropped'.. *snigger*). However, they were still due to get a Greatest Hits album out of her. 2. She then signed with Epic. Go look at the spine of your SW CD - it says ***Epic***. Not Atlantic :) 3. Record companies are not known for generously saying "oh, this song is on our label, but hey.. you can use it for your Greatest Hits if you want because we're so nice :) ". Hence the chance of there being SW songs on "Tales of a Librarian - A Tori Amos Collection" (ick) is about as great as Dan P admitting that my #oztori ban was unnecessary :) > appearing on this list > yet (Strange Little Hamsters doesn't count)! Although it may as well.. if she believes that Sweet Dreams and Mary are good enough. > I read > that she wanted to do Blood Roses but I got the > impression it didn't make the final cut? Spesh as it was her 2nd highest charting single (at the dizzy heights of #60) in the US. > As for TVAB and SW being > represented, well who knows. I really hope 1000 Oceans is not on there. Please "God", don't let her do it! > And the whole librarian thing, lol I read that as "and the whole lesbian thing" at first. Maybe this is Tori's sly way of 'coming out' - "Tales of a Lesbian - A Tori Amos Collection". > she could recycle the > image from the SLG album for the cover, I think it's > the New Age woman that everyone thinks looks like a > librarian!! :-) Yeah the only 'decent' pic of her from the SLG 'session'. > [well hopefully she's actually USED the originals & > remastered them rather than covered her own songs] YAY we agree on something!!! If she did cover her pre FTCH stuff, she'd need to lower everything a few keys so her voice could keep up :) > I'm sure she used would've used the originals, but > probably added back-up vocals and other > instrumentation. No. I hope she just remastered. But knowing her, she can never "just leave it alone".
