Why not join the few of us that are on there every night... Myself, Nathan (it's not THAT bad :) ) Julian P, Becc every now and then. It's easy. Just download the FREE program mIRC from, well, mIRC.com download it. Open it. Close the picture of the guy who made it. scroll down to oz.org servers. double click/connect then in the window of chat rooms type #oztori alternatively in the bottom of one of the windows - like the window that says 'ping pong' with all the text etc. type /join #oztori Oh before all that put in a nick (name) etc. If you want to change it type /nick -enternicknamehere- Some might not be able to use irc clients. The one on oztori.org isn't there anymore (and never did work). Another trick it open your bower and in the location bar type telnet:// then when the dos-like window opens type if it's Windows XP "o =server name=" that is like for me "o student.uq.edu.au" this opens a connection to your server. Then once you've entered your username and logged in just type irc or press help if that doesn't work. Then log after typing 'irc' by typing /connect aussie.sydney.oz.org --- for example if you need a port number a space after that type /connect aussie.sydney.oz.org 6669 or something I think /connect irc.oz.org or /connect irc.oz.org 6669 etc. works as well So see you in irc tonight!! Maybe around oopps big brother eviction ummm... 8:30-9pm tonight? If none of this works... fire up google and type in "irc" to get help :) Incedently, MattyV says he can't connect he maybe behind a firewall (things like mIRC program) doesn't work behind a firewall - but some do. So you'd have to search for it or use the telnet method I mentioned above. ALSO If Sunday night doesn't work... maybe we could try a week night? Not Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday nights (Buffy, Angel and Enterprise nights). Andrew ------------------------------ End of oztori-digest V3 #186 ****************************
