LOL that's not the reason > I'm going...just an added bonus.... Under what circumstances would you ever want to live in South Carolina?! The American South is horrible. There's nothing worthwhile in South Carolina. The closest city of any size is Atlanta, which is stuffed full of horrible traffic and no culture. (Trust me, I lived in Atlanta for 5.5 years.) You get utterly miserable summers in SC (30C, 95% humidity), not to mention hurricanes. And you're surrounded by Southerners. Americans in general are bad enough, but Southerners?! Ugh. If you're going to move to the States, try to find a way to end up in San Francisco or Manhattan. Denver, Seattle, Boston, Washington DC, San Diego, or Chicago wouldn't be horrible either. Although, if you're going to move to the States, at least then I wouldn't be the only one on this list who lives here. ;) /nm ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Jan 2003 18:46:17 -0800 (PST) From: Nathan "®" Subject: Re: [oztori] Tori touring until August! She might not be selling well in Poland, but it's relatively easy for her to swing through. Although I don't quite get the next leg of her US tour. She's going to North Dakota? ND has a total of four residents. It looks like the next leg of the US tour is going to be extensive and hit bloody well everywhere. Looking at the tour dates that have been announced, I'm also really curious if she's dragging the band with her on the second leg of the US tour. Bringing them with her to all of these out-of-the-way places is not cheap. The folks at Sony haven't responded to me yet. Oh well, c'est la vie. /nm ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Jan 2003 19:17:52 -0800 (PST) From: Nathan "®" Subject: Re: [oztori] Tori touring until August...and Everything After! Hi Mark To answer your questions: 1. Nope. No troubles playing the SW DVD. In fact, it's one of the few DVDs that I can get to work properly on my 'puter. 2. I use the DVD-ROM on my computer. It has one of those firmware things that lets you select the region, but once you've chosen it, it 'locks' to that region. So, basically, you *could* say my DVD is a Region 4, since that's what I've set it as. And the SW DVD played fine on that. The DVD as sold in the US and Australia is encoded to play in every region BUT Region 2. And the UK/Europe release is enconded to play Region 2 ONLY. So if you bought SW here, you should have no problems. Um, sense much make? 3. No. :-) Jules - --------------------------------- Yahoo! (and bloody smart idea of you too, if you did). But hey you just gave me an idea by referring to the band as "the boys". I thought...
