I actually did think of making something of the whole digi-pack/jewel thing, but I wasn't sure if subsequent US pressings were in digi or jewel. If the latter, then it's not rare for that reason. If the former ... is it still 'rare' given that all international presings are in jewel? ... and besides, digis tend to be considered more collectible ... It's annoying that these vendors never actually say *why* the particular item is 'rare'. It just becomes another word to ignore, like the dreaded and pointless 'L@@K'. I mean, really, do people really type 'L@@K' into the eBay search engine?? (And if they did, would eBay be able to display all the hits??) And when results are retrieved under a valid search term, and item descriptions/titles have 'L@@K' in them, are people actually more likely to look? I can just imagine someone thinking: "Well, I really like the sound of that one, but it doesn't say 'L@@K', so I guess I'm not gonna click on it after all ...". Ugh. Perhaps I could have made something about it being 'rare' b/c the glory of the 80s lyrics in that particular lyric book have 'Raquel Welch' [sic] spelled correctly (as 'Raquel Welsh') ... But that would just be me making something up that isn't true. And I'd never lie. Well, not about Tori anyway. Well, not about TVAB anyway. Ah screw it. J - --------------------------------- Yahoo! To be fair, it's Atlantic who put the "limited edition" label on the US "Winter" single, not moronic eBay sellers who are trying to make anything look rare. /nm ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 6 Jan 2003 20:32:01 -0800 (PST) From: Nathan "®" Subject: [oztori] "Dear Nadyne"... I know that dear... Nadyne, whilst we've gotcha here.. may I ask all-beknowing-you a q'n? I got the Strange Little Girl 3-track sampler (US) the other day (don't ask) - the one with supposedly: 1) Strange Little Girl (Single Edit) [sic] 2) '97 Bonnie & Clyde (Single Edit) [sic] 3) Heart of Gold (Single Edit) [actually is.. although 'twas never a 'single'!] ...and only Heart of Gold is actually edited?! The other 2 are 'zact same as on the album. Do you know anything about this - and is this just another careless slip that Atlantic made with Tori in their time? Yeah, I thought so, but the Mike 'n' Melvin one was filmed in Sydney, whereas the later one, I believe, was a Gold Coast production, and Andrew being a Qld boy ... >I told ppl I was going on NYSI in grade 6 & they all >believed me & thought I would win :) Lord help everyone if you didn't ... >I KNOW!!!!
