Oops...) So, I should at least redeem myself (or dig myself in deeper, depending on one's p.o.v.) by providing my little rankings thingy. Here 'tis: 1. Little Earthquakes 2. Scarlet's Walk 3. Boys for Pele 4. To Venus & Back (live, still orbiting) -- yes I am rankining the 2 discs separately, since one can't play them simultaneously (well I guess you could if you really wanted to, but why would you) 4. Under the Pink 5. From the Choirgirl Hotel 6. To Venus & Back (venus orbiting) 7. Y Kan't Tori Read 8. StrangeLittleGirls Notes: I am a great fan of LE. It's going to take a lot to knock it off the #1 position. It would also be on my list of top ten albums by any artist. That being said, Scarlet's Walk comes pretty close, I originally had misgivings about the smooth, apparently angst-free & "adult contemporary" sound of Tori Amos until I listened closely to the lyrics & realised first appearances can be deceiving. Bearing in mind I like just about everything Tori's recorded except about half the tracks on SLG, some of YKTR, and the odd b-side. And that I think UTP, TVAB & FTCGH are excellent but not as mind-blowing as the first 3... Henry. - -- "We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Actually I *am* a "therapist" strictly speaking ;) (scary thought, hey) Nathan. ===== "They don't expect boys to pretend to be nice, but they do with girls, and I'm not a nice person!" - Siobhan Fahey. _______________________________________________________________________ Yahoo! After All is like the best thing she recorded of SLG-era if you ask me (maybe after Real Men). Only Women Bleed = zzzzzzzzzz imnsho. I would rather Tori covered Alice's "Poison" or "Bed of Nails" ;) (TOP songs to blast whilst driving). > What about a 12" Talula BT remix... that goes for > 75minutes! :) OMG I think that is the *single* CRAPPEST thing to have ever been made with Tori's name on it. BT shoulda been shot for that one.
