And in years of overal 'goodness'... 1995 or 1996 were probably the last. 1997 was SOOOOOOOOOOO SHITE. It's been down hill from there. :) Andrew ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Oct 2002 14:18:40 +1000 From: "AndrewR" Subject: RE: [oztori] Bugging the CD stores > Given that Epic is faced with that, how much promotion -can- they do? What about letting CD stores know that she has an album coming out... sending out promo posters etc. I wonder if Skinnies in BrisVegas will be giving away posters again this album? (not really) So I went to eBay (actually, eBay.com.au), as I do from time to time, and I was shocked by the banner they had. It says: "Clothes at home that your baby's outgrown?". Then it changes to: "Why not sell them on eBay. [sic] Click here" and there is a picture of a baby. Nothing wrong with that, right? Only I didn't see the first bit. All I saw was a picture of a baby and the line "Why not sell them on eBay". Maybe they should have thought that through a little better. Tori content: "Tori Amos" was one of the things I searched for. :-) Jules - --------------------------------- Yahoo! Okay ... so I caved. I have no Tori willpower. Now I'm kinda wishing I hadn't ... the clips sounded a little ... exactly the same. With the exception of Wednesday and Wampum Prayer, if I heard them again, I couldn't tell which was which. However, the promo songs grew on me very quickly, so I expect to revise my opinion way up when I get to listen to the FULL CD through a few times. Anyhow, just in case anyone cares (and I'm sure no-one does) Julian's ranking after one listen: 1. Wedesday!!! (by a long way!!) 2. Virginia 3. Don't Make Me Come to Vegas 4. Carbon 5. Your Cloud 6. Strange 7. Scarlet's Walk 8. Another Girl's Paradise 9. Mrs Jesus 10. Sweet Sangria 11. Wampum Prayer 12. I Can't See New York (I agree with Dan, I definitely need to hear more ... esp since this is supposed to be the longest of the songs) Jules ever notice how *all* the Neil songs (TIYH, Space Dog, BQ/Horses, Liquid Diamonds, Hotel and now Wednesday) totally kick ass? - --------------------------------- Yahoo!
