I did the obligatory Scarlet's Walk Walk around Brissy today and found Rocking Horse says the 28th, HMV (after looking at me first like I was mad and telling me for five minutes that she'd never heard of it and she does all the buying, then finding it in another copy of the book she was looking in) said the 28th, and Sanity says.... Monday. This Monday. Er... unlikely? Rocking Horse apparently had some imports come in today, but advised me to come back later to the release date if I want to buy anything. I know (though it's been a while) the parents of Naomi (the one with the dark hair). They lived in Newcs for quite a while. Mark and Deb where in a number of bands around here, including one with their son also. And they played at Charlestown Square last Wed and I didn't know. But I'm sure they'd appreciate someone going up to them and saying 'Hi, I knew your parents'. But I can't help with any contacts, with them or the others around Newcs. It's been too long. They also list a DVD which is probably just the limited edition version). In the States, an ASF 7-inch (no CD single), Scarlet's Walk ( ditto ) to be released Oct 29. In UK and Europe, an ASF maxi-single to be released Oct 14 (regular single might still be released in Europe), Scarlet's Walk ( ditto ) to be released Oct 28 (France release date same as Aussie). In Canada, an ASF maxi-single is listed for Oct 22, a regular single is also rumoured. I assume the SW released date is teh same as the States. The track listing for the Maxi-single is: 1.A Sorta Fairytale (101 Mix) - 03:58 2.Operation Peter Pan - 01:45 3.A Sorta Fairytale (Original Single Version) - 03:58 + "A Scarlet Story" multimedia section. - 01:50 The regular single, if it manages to be released, would have this track listing: 1.A Sorta Fairytale (101 Mix) - 03:58 2.Operation Peter Pan - 01:45 MikeWhy suggests the extras with the limited edition SW will be the same or similar (but HOW similar???) in all releases. Some conjecture about whether the cover is the same as the normal release, but the CD is stored in a keepcase (or box, larger than norm slipcase) so that there is room for the map and other extras. HMV.com in Canada says the limited edition version of Scarlet's Walk comes in special packaging, including a keepsake box, map, charm and bonus DVD. In the U.K. an add has apparently mentioned postcards in the package and did not mention a charm. The limited edition version consists of 2 discs. The first is the normal Scarlet's Walk album and the second is a Bonus DVD. Track listing for the DVD according to sanity.com.au: 1. Gold Dust (Video Version) 2. A Sorta Fairytale (Video Version) 3. Polaroids 4. Taxi Ride (Audio Bed) 5. Play All 6. Chapters 7. Audio Options 8. Tori Audio Commentary (On) 9. Tori Audio Commentary (Off) Oh, and the ASF video is supposed to debut in the States Oct 17th (Thurs), so it might pay to check Rage next weekend. The funny thing is chaos still lists ASF, for $4.95, as a local release, saying it will ship within 1-2 weeks. And did anyone go to the listening party in Melb?
