I think Tori sang more from her twat after he left. Like the albums became less 'polished' - spesh vocally, after he left. Like Tori cared less & less about clear enunciation.. and sounding 'nice' on record - ie, bring on the scratchy vocals, out-of-breath lines, mumbled vocals, gasping for air, saliva, etc. Julian P wrote: > Yes, I agree! Hearing the CRAP live plugged Waitress (although admittedly the live 'unplugged' Waitress is shit also) has made me develop an actual appreciation for the studio one. OK, I'll "justify" my reasoning: *Agent Orange: crap b/c Tori draaawwwls out the words & "sings" (for want of a better term) in a stupid voice. It's like a "Thoughts" (ie, clearly made up on the spot) - though not nearly as listenable. *Amazing Grace/Til the Chicken: it's obvious Tori et. al. on this recording were pissed, jammed, somebody hit record, and *PRESTO* you've got yourself another crappy-quality BFP-era b-side. George Porter Junior's bass sucks on this, and Samurai... "IMNSHO", of course. *(The) Waitress: live version goes on forever and is boring. Tori's voice is flat. The lyrics are dumb. Studio - a blemish on an otherwise fine album (UTP). Tori plays this shit ad nauseum, yet neglects much more tuneful gems such as 'The Wrong Band'. Baby what has she been smokin'. *Samurai - "my samurai, ya da da da da". Sounds like something your parents would sing after one too many drinks on Christmas eve. A 'just say ya da da da when you can't think of the words' effort. Throw in George Porter Jnr's awful base and you've got youself a heap of junk. And if you don't like what I just said above - remember, *you* asked for it!
