Subject: [oztori] Re: oztori-digest V2 #216 Hi my names Will and I'm new to the list! I live in Sydney and love Tori too much, can't wait for the new album to be released. I'm trying to resist the lure of mp3's. Without sounding too pretentious I think tori's albums tell a complete story and to hear the songs separately before hand might spoil that first listen when its all released. Having said that of course after you listen to an album, people always go back and listen to individual songs on their own, me included, so i'm a total hypocrite haha. But yeh the record companies have no right to whinge about mp3's. They could so easily release the album now if they chose to. It's because of their marketing/pr/"plans" man that they don't. They put tori and all these other incredible artists in a queue when the stuff should get released while its still perfectly relevant i think. oh by the way this was too funny... "Hehehe. I'm doing a Kylie Minogue - totally going against everything I did 2 years previously, and claiming once more that this is finally "the real Nathan"." will _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Jul 2002 21:55:24 +1000 From: "riot poofter" Subject: Re: [oztori] Nayth lied: opinion on SW tracks heard thusfar >Hehehe. Well, I went through a phase from say.. '96 to just last year, where I had to almost complusively listen to Tori albums as wholes (bar perhaps BFP which I can only stomach the first 7 songs without needing to skip anything). ie, I spent many a painful 3 minutes listening to "The Waitress" and the like. Anyway, since about a year ago, I've discovered the 'joy' of listening to Tori songs in singular form. > But yeh the record companies have no right to whinge > about mp3's. Yay you can spell whinge properly. > They > could so easily release the album now if they chose > to. It's because of > their marketing/pr/"plans" man that they don't.
