Their latest album (which is crap btw) is being promoted very well (but they would be because they rock) if you haven't noticed. Here To Stay (current crappy single) is also being promoted very well. It's all being promoted a whole lot more in the US though where they have a tour and stuff happening...so if they are anything to go by (which i don't think it is, b/c those boys do a lot of work themselves and are money hungry bastards :) and a lot of their fans do get scammed into their crap (oh but tori fans are even more fanatical...)). I don't think you can tell until it does get released what will happen unless someone wants to break into headquarters and find out for themselves ;) Jas ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 10 Jul 2002 16:27:21 +0800 From: "ennui" Subject: RE: [oztori] Even Stupider OT email DELETE DELETE!! " I pull the hood right back where you could taste heaven perfectly" Pulling back the hood *obviously* refers to metoidoplasty--an operation performed on transmen whereby the clitoris is released ("pulled back") from its "hood" and therefore resembles a small penis. (Bearing in mind that testosterone, administred to transmen, enlarges the clitoris substantially.) See here for a technical reference: http://torque.ftmaustralia.org/02/06/08.html "That girl come undone" is also an oblique reference to a female-born man. And the whole song seems to be about moving on, transitioning... Well, why not?? E. too much of a diary: http://2much.livejournal.com/ "Man, I was tame compared to what they do now. Are you kidding? Er, they have, dear. Rather ironic, when he's not even black anymore. And apparently he is claiming to be a 'minority' artist too. Anything to blame for the flop of Invincible apart from himself. I doubt the whole album is going to be like this. It's called 'A Sorta Fairytale', so of course it's going to have a happy ending (unless you're the witch, giant, ogre or being of that ilk). I guess the other thing I'm thinking about is that they describe the album as an 'east bound' journey (though, was it post Sept 11? I forget). This is either the 'life is wonderful before it all falls apart' piece to start off the record, or it's like 'I must enjoy this moment of happiness in the mad world or ill go insane' some where along the track.
