Subject: [oztori] just another crazy ramble that i'm sure SOMEONE can relate to howdy it was just another sunday afternoon at officeworks. the sun was shining, the managers were pissy and the customers were a royal pain in the ass. what's new? i was on registers covering for someone's break, being my usual lovely bubbly self and put through this guy and his wife. we started talking about what i do, like tafe and where i work and all that shit. so he turns and says that he's just opened up a business and he's looking for a couple of people to work and would i be interested? he kept asking if i like working with people.... silly naive cath gets all excited and gives him her phone number. then as he leaves the store, bruce (co-worker) says that guy has been into the store last year and asked him to work, then it turns out that he works for amway and some y2k thing? which brings me to the current time. he called and he's basically invited himself over to my house to "talk over things". i asked him what his business is, and he didn't give me a specific name, wasn't too good with the details, something about "personal development" and then he said the 'good with people' thing again. personal development? it's that the class that goes with PE i avoided in high-school???? i'm extremely terrified. is it just me or has the internet made me more paranoid of everything? a stranger talks to me and i instantly think "omg, what if he's seen my website and has tracked me down from there?" paranoia paranoia everybody's coming to get me........ i don't wanna work for amway *CRIES* how do i get myself out of this situation if it involes sales?
