This is actually what my copies of LE & UTP are. It has been put together by East West, but I don't know how official it is. I certainly wouldn't call it a collectors item as you get the booklets, but not the back artwork for either cd (so when I would read about the fungi pic, I had no idea what people were on about). It is just the UTP and LE discs repackaged into a double cd set. OK, you wanna know the really freaky thing? I've been reading about this exact same photo in the RDTRN archives. Someone even questioned whether they're the same box (which I doubt, they were done years apart, and I seem to recall reading about the inspiration for Tori's somewhere). And half the people on RDTRN back in 92 were from gaffa (the kate bush version of rmt-a). OMG!!!!! Do I actually own something RARE!?! That was my first Tori purchase (I actually *shock, horror* don't have either the 'real' LE or UTP... I have this double album and more pink - but neither in their original form!! How about that. It's also funny, cause I was driving down the coast the other day, and I needed to change my 6 cds - I was getting sick of the same old albums for the past month or more... so I put in LE!! I think it has been the first time I've actually listened to LE in lessee... seven or eight years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only exposure to LE tracks have been live mp3s... It's really fascinating cause I can see with a different light after years of BFP, FTCH, TVaB, SLG etc. "early Tori" - I hear things I had forgotten, I hear things I hadn't heard before, I hear things that I'm used to hearing in the live versions. Interspersed, of course, with your catchy songs, much in the way that opera recitative is interspersed with arias. People can't deal well with bursting into song for no reason, but either of the two ways of dealing with it - giving the songs a reason, or just singing the whole damned thing - seem to make things digestible, to the extent that people even _enjoy_ musicals. I still hate that Buffy episode though. (I recently taped a documentary about the homosexual lives of animals over one of my flatmate's tapes, only to find out later (to my annoyance) that it was an Angel episode, not that awful Buffy one.
