One classic one was the Boxing Day test in 92 (91/92 I think actually). a photo of which was in the Ch9 cricket annual for the year. There is a two page spread of a photo of the Australian slips cordon (I know my cricket speak) appealing for a dismisal (Richie Richardson if I remember correctly). Mark Taylor features prominantly in the photo. On one side of him you can see my sister (camera in hand (the very one I had at the Syd Oztori meet), jumping out of her seat). On the other side you can see two of my cousins. And where am I? Behind Tubby of course! > > oh yeah i was on 2day fm once, > > giving opinion on a > > 2unlimited song ("the workahloic" - i said it > > sucked) > > Noooooooooooo! When I first read it I thought it was Sound Unlimited, and I was thinking I don't remember them having a song titled that. _2unlimited_. That explains it. I still don't remember the song (though I've probably just forgotten). The 38 year old singer-songwriter, and one-time Kelloggs 'Just Right' girl, has been plagued by paranoid delusions that "singer" (well, mimer) and actress Jennifer Lopez has been plotting her demise. Amos was admitted into the Cornwall Corny Farm, a renouned psychiatric institute, for treatment after friends found her in a catatonic state on the floor amongst the ruins of several torn-up posters and memorabilia of Jennifer Lopez; including a life-sized voodoo doll of Lopez with watermelons for buttocks, and a hollowed-out head. Amos alleges that the silicone-assed Lopez has been out to ruin her moderately successful career ever since she hypenated her name to J-Lo, apparently making a mockery of Amos's own original Myra-Ellen (with hyphen) in the process. Pianist Amos has also cited that she was tricked into parting with former record label Atlantic (division of Warner Records), by P. Diddy (aka Puff Daddy and Sean "Puffy" Combes) - former beau of Lopez, and Warner Brothers label-mate; and talked into signing with Epic (a division of Sony - to which Lopez is signed), in a bid to construct direct rivalry with J-Lo's record sales. Amos theorises irrationally that Sony would look at her sales in light of Lopez's, and then proceed to drop her from their label, effectively leaving her without a record contract and thus terminating her career prematurely. She also claims that Sony would use any profits made from her releases to further advance J-Lo's alleged "quest for world domination" (in Amos's eyes). "That bitch thinks she can swivel her hips and it'll do the trick," spat Amos incoherently. "Well, all I've got to say is, 'America, oh who discovered your ass!' That whore will be *glad* she insured her ass for $6 million by the time I'm through with her." Amos also sites a similar breakdown suffered by songstress Mariah Carey, also brought on by fears of being hunted down by Lopez. Mariah, too, left Sony following the advice of J-Lo's management, and signed to Virgin - after which her career nose-dived. "All according to J-Lo's plan," says Amos. Amos's family and friends say the final straw came when they walked in on Tori dressed in her Y Kant Tori Read gear, charging at a surmounted wall-poster of Lopez with a sword in her hands. "It's such a shame," says husband Mark Hawley. "Obviously Tori is a deeply disturbed woman psychologically anyway, but this really takes the cake." Amos's daughter, 18 month old Natashya, has also been affected by Amos's deranged ideas and obsession with J-Lo. "We knew something was wrong when the first sentence little Tash spoke to us was 'Mummy kill J-Wo'" said Natashya's concerned grandparents. Amos's infatuation with J-Lo apparently went to such depths that she was contemplating making her first release for Sony an album of songs originally written by J-Lo, but sung from an "Amos perspective". Amos even attended 'how NOT to sing' lessons, and 'vocal enhancement in the studio: even your grandmother can sing too' studio production workshops in preperation for recording the album. Amos gave a brief interview to reporters last night from her hospital bed, straitjacketed, before medico's sedated her. Doctors are waiting for tonight to see how Amos is responding to her treatment. When asked about the treatment the psychiatrists had planned for her, Amos responded, "They want to give me religion and a j-lobotomy." Attendees at Amos's bedside have been prohibited from wearing skanky clothing, using the phrase "Ain't it funny", and professing to be "real", in case it triggers a relapse in Amos's condition. It is unknown at this stage how long Amos will be institutionalised for, although all future tour plans to Australia have been cancelled indefinitely. ======================================================= Yahoo! There's actually a few more somewhat 'common' names here, which does kind of surprise me, but they're ones I've liked for years. I'd probably leave Avalon and Igraine for my sister (though I suspect she'd go Morgaine before those - theres a bit of a tradition in our family for names from the Arthurian legend, and she's into that more than me). I've actually just remembered I'd probably go for 'Catherine' (or Cathy) for middle name after a cousin who passed away a few years ago (there's an aunty of Glenn's who is on tender hooks and I was thinking we'd probably use her name for the middle name). Which would rule Caitlin and probably the other 'c/k' names out. (Tabitha might be in with a chance! ;) Glenn wasn't keen on Violet last time as he said it was an old lady's name (I didn't pass that gem onto the Violets I know). Argh but now whenever I try saying a name in my head with 'catherine' as the middle name I keep thinking of Catherine Zeta Jones!!! I was also thinking I might try and avoid another name ending in 'a'. And it wasn't the brass band ep, which I was really looking forward to, but we got three songs, so hey, can't complain (and Yungchen Lhamo :) I thought Black Dove was the best of the songs. The musicMAX website hasn't updated and while the tv guide has a few more eps for the month listed, Tori's is the last on the website. It will certainly pay to keep an eye on it as there's another 4 eps of Tori they could show (the first one with MAAG and HIMH would be really good!). So, sorry I didn't get to tape it for anyone!
