I didn't say there was anything wrong with Egyptian names perse, I was really just pointing out that Amon was the name of an Egyptian god (I've got my head burried in the stuff at the moment, so I was kinda excited, hence the exclamaition mark). Now you see the names of the Pharoahs were very interesting and incorporated the names of gods they wanted to associate with. I forget what 'Tut' means, but 'ankh' is the life symbol (and means as much), and 'Amun' is a variation on Amon. :) The other problem with using an Egyptian god name (or any mythological name for that matter) is the associations that come with it. You wouldn't want to call your daughter Hathor and condemn her to being called a cow all her life would you? Isis is fine (as far as I can think of at the moment), but anyway...
