Hmmm, interesting, currently the laws are quite bizarre - you are allowed to sell anything music wise to anyone - restrictions only get involved for visual. (and then its only for MA (or stronger) classifications. However, you aren't actually allowed to let someone under 18 listen to any MA stuff within the store - but you can sell it to them to listen to it at home :) What is the basic gist with the new laws? >Interesting combo mentioned there... There is a website somewhere about YKTR, but I think it deals specifically with the bootlegs, and how to tell if you've got one. As far as I know (I'm working from memory here, so I may have a few bits wrong) it was officially released on LP, CD and Cassette. Most of the LPs available were distributed as promos (with gold stamps/stickers). Singles - 7" "The Big Picture", 7" "Cool On Your Island" (in picture sleeve). Promo 7" for "The Big Picture", also promo 12" (in picture sleeve). Promo CD for "Cool On Your Island" - also has Phil Collins "Groovy Kind Of Love" on it. The original YKTR cd has a red ring printed on it, and the cat# on the spine ends in "-2" not "-1" - most of the bootlegs make this mistake. Also the original CD didn't have back cover art, just a tracklisting. There is a picture vinyl available (Utopia has a copy actually, I noticed last week...its $100...VERY tempting, even for a known fake!) but its a bootleg. Actually, you guys can help pick out any potential teasing problem areas I haven't already picked up. Off the old list (I just went and dug it up): Tait - (old Norse) happy Brandon - (Irish/Gaelic) youthful; brave (Celtic) raven Heath - (old English) from the field of heather additional ones out of new book: Arion - (Greek) magic horse Declan - (Irish) praying Kai - (Native American) willow tree; (Japanese) to forgive; (Welsh) keeper of keys; (Hawaiian) sea Now, the middle name will be Alexander (family trad), and surname is Jones. And as such, Brandon is almost off the list because whenever I say it (Brandon Jones) I find myself singing it to the tune of 'Nathan Jones' by Bananarama!!! Actually, I've already scratched one off the list from the new book. I think I'll scrap Declan off too, it was a suggestion from Glenn's mum, and I don't mind it, but I'm not keen on the meaning. Glenn wasn't keen on Heath last time, and so at the moment I think I'm leaning towards Kai (pronounced 'like 'eye' with a 'k' sound in front, not 'Kay'). But I've got 6 months before it's crunch time, so I'm likely to change my mind well before then (or come across more). LOL and what is wrong with that exactly ;) I bought the cassingle to that.. um.. possibly b/c it's partly my name? ;) There was actually a Nathan Jones at my primary school. > I think I'm > leaning towards Kai > (pronounced 'like 'eye' with a 'k' sound in front, > not 'Kay'). Hehe.. Why not just call your kid "Untitled" ;) Maybe 'Tai' for short. > Well, not like > I'm making any decisions > now, you can just help me eliminate a few. I want a couple of DVDs, but they're not available in Australia, so I went to Amazon and they are region 1 encoding which means us and canada, right? So then I went to Amazon.co.uk and they have region 2 dvds which they say or Europe, middle east and japan only. Okay, so we have DVDs which are region 4 encoding, but some say 4,2 or 2,4, so does that mean I can play region 2 dvds in our player? Our player takes PAL and NTSC. Any help is really appreciated. *************** http://datura.notsweet.net ICQ: 131558324 I thought about my mum. 'You could seize power,' I said, 'in a bloodless coup. Go back to work. Take a lover. Amon is an Egyptian god (means hidden)! The Japanese one is probably the only one I'd gloss over. The hawaiian one seems to pop up the most, but I'm not going to say one specific meaning. It's actually a boys name of Native American origin and means "beaver, symbol of skill". And a better description of the pronounciation of Kai would be 'Kigh'. Something saying "Region 2,4" means it will play on Region 2 AND Region 4 players. It doesn't mean you can play region 2 in a region 4 player, it just means the DVD has been encoded for use in both regions. Does this make sense?
