Ohhh Spawn would be the LAST track on the album - how fucking awesome is the last track!?!?!?!?! And people HATE it!?! The single version must be something brilliant! I will meet up with you and have coffee with y'all, but I'm gonna give the Lord of the Rings movie a miss. I have seen it in Gold Class and that was good enough for me. Plus I don't see a movie multiple times in the cinema unless it was REALLY good and I'm afraid that I didn't find it to be "all that". Fatboys SHOULD be open, right Nina, being Good Friday and all I don't know? Where are you guys going to see the movie? Let Zac know details and I'll find out from him. ~Bindy _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 28 Mar 2002 13:31:03 +1000 From: "Double Serpent" Subject: [oztori] Songs from the past. Speaking of my dreaded cassingle collection, on the way back to work from lunch, my car radio started playing "Do Anything" by Natural Selection. I started to laugh, considering I haven't heard the song for AGES and here we are talking about it and it comes on. Found it amusing. Small things amuse small minds I guess. ~Bindy _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 28 Mar 2002 16:37:17 +1030 From: "li-siren" Subject: [oztori] OT: George Does anyone know if George/Danielle Spencer are playing in Adelaide? ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 28 Mar 2002 16:41:00 +1100 (EST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Bevan=20Burkin?= Subject: [oztori] PERTH - Delirious Festival Hi all! "Never Gonna Give You Up" was *indeed* the highest selling singles of the 80's in Oz (quite sad really when I thought 'twas nowt but an average song)... although the liner notes of Kylie Minogue's "Greatest Hits" would like to have us believe otherwise, claiming that her "Locomotion" was. WELL... "Locomotion" was the biggest one by an 'Australian' (sic) artist.. and *was* the biggest selling single of 1987... but overall I think Rick's sold more. Though Roozi you are right in that "Never Gonna Give You Up" wasn't even the biggest selling song of the year/s in which it charted, 1987 and 1988 - as it was a hit over the Xmas/New Years' period then, and so was outsold in each of those years.. but on the whole it sold more than the others. Make sense? > biggest song of the > >1990's!?! > > easily "candle in the wind 97/something about the > way you look tonight" by > elton john... derr :) > > both in austrlia and world wide... by about 10 times > as many as anything > else too Yeah 'twas. Although it's quite sad that the highest selling record isn't a song that everyone thought was great & so they all rushed out to buy it... but rather, was just a hit because people bought it as a 'tribute' for Di. I've never even heard "Candle in the Wind '97" in its entirety... as I *refuse* to listen to that rot. How insulting is it to have a 'tribute' to someone that you originally wrote as a tribute to somebody else. As one bitchy journo wrote at the time, "Elton is becoming a rent-a-pianist for dead blondes". Nathan. . Yahoo! Anyway, "Like A Prayer" came on, and her b/f had to leave the room! LOL. A mite 'religious' was he. Plus I had a dumb friend in primary school, who tried to copy me (as everyone I befriend does eventually ;) and also write down the charts every week... Well, this friend was a tad dumb, and spelled it "Lik A Prer".. And he was in Grade 6. Oh *dear*.. our education system has a lot to answer for. Nathan. . Yahoo!
