Oh absolutely. In my opinion, the movie is _better_ than the English translation (which is all I can comment on). I'm assuming the German version was much better, given its popularity (as well as having read somewhere that it is) but alas, I don't know a lot of German and probably couldn't get hold of a German copy v. easily anyway. Yay, what Becc said. Though I have to admit, the version of the book I read when I was about 8 it said Fantasia in it. Maybe the translators had just seen Walt (oops typed that as Wlat) Disney's Fantasia? All I remember about the book is they made a f&*(king excellent version of the first part as a movie, and that the second part sucked ass. I have no idea where they got Pt 3 from tho...cos the book was split in two parts - - and the movies were made in two parts. Weird....I'm rambling again...yikes... I hate buses. Once again I'll demonstrate I'm a geek :) Mumu is civilisation that was beleived to have existed somewhere off Japan, which doesn't make it sound as interesting or impressive as a more detailed story does. There are huge steps and other structures under the sea that are beleived to be the site of this civilisation. The whole idea of Mumu really came to light through a book, but I can't for the life of me remember the title (other than it had 'Mumu' in it) or who wrote it. I seem to recall it derived it's name from a letter of the Greek alphabet, which also plays a part. If you do want more info about it, I'll happily re-watch the prog on it I taped off the history channel, and pass on anything else I come across... And btw, there are other meanings for the word, but given the 'Ancients of...' part of the song, they can't be what KLF were on about. And while I'm at it, does anyone remember what KLF stands for? COMING SOON to a mean e-mail near you!* This is what *I* think of "everyone": Dan H: - ------- "put on your make-up boy, you're your favourite stranger... but you know you wanna be me" ;) Either make a booking with a vocational counsellor, or send a better resume' to my recipient of sugar-daddiness vacancy than Dylan's. Also, "than" is not, never has been, and never will be spelled as "then". li: - ---- Learn how to fucking delete the e-mails you reply to in the message! This pisses me off sooooooo much. And get a decent pseudonym, or just reveal your real name to everyone. It's not as bad as you think. AndrewR: - --------- You're more off the planet than I am. I'm jealous (to quote the wonderful Ms. Amphlett who went to my high school!). Although we really *don't* need 101 'when shall we arrange the next Brissie meet' e-mails every day. You were in the chess club at school, weren't ya? Andrew Darwin: - -------------- Learn how to fucking drive! It's so easy to speed and not get caught... yet you can't seem to figure it out. Kinda makes me wonder what's between those waxy ears of yours ;) Roozi: - ------- It's not the 70's childe - I think we're POST Post-modern-feminism-schmuck by now. Dylan: - ------- Get a brand new dress babe... But it still won't make me wanna try. lil dan: - --------- You're not the most tortured person on the planet.. yet. Dan G: - ------- Erm??? I canne' thunk of anyfin' 2 say. You're not bossy enough to be head of this list. Resign. Jas: - ----- You have some nerve being sent free CD's and then complaining about them. I admire that. You'll make an awesome businesswoman... Just make sure you don't work for any company with a 'th' in the title ;) Mark Endacott: - --------------- How much is your kitchen sink going for? ;) Nina Riddel: - -------------- Isn't your surname the name of the high school in Grease? Kate & Holly: - -------------- I get you two mixed up. "All mixed up it's so confusing" - wow, you just inspired me to quote the lines from a flop 'The Twins' (Gayle & Gillian Blakenly) record from 1991. Zac: - ----- You smoke. You drink coffee. You're a seeming technowiz. "That don't impress me much". Renee: - ------- Your acclaim to fame was working for the arse-end-of-the-world branch of Tori's record company that dropped her. But you're a one-trick pony ;) Bindy: - ------- Double Serpent is a stupid monicker. Then again, it probably suits you :) Rachael: - --------- You've gone to the UK yet you still bother with this poor excuse of a Tori list. WHY? Me: - --- No one seems to care about my e-mails anymore. But yet I still send them in non-stop. How sad is that? Anyone else I've left out: - --------------------------- You are too insignificent to warrant mention. Everyone: - ---------- Go see your shrinks :) "just kidding", Nathan. . Try FREE Yahoo! Something to do with wanting to be able to use samples on their records without having to deal with the copyright red-tape. It supposedly also stood for "Kylie Liberation Front" (as in Minogue) when they had their "Kylie Said To Jason" single out. Nathan. . Try FREE Yahoo!
