There WILL be another Throwing Muses record. It's recorded, but not yet mixed and is due out late January 2003. Personel will be Kristin, David and Bernard with Tanya doing backing vocals on several songs. The recordings rock. Hard. The few people who have heard what was done have all commented on the speed, intensity and raw-ness of the songs - 12 in all. Warning: At this time, it appears as if there will NOT be a full tour for this record due to the limited available time of the individuals. It is expected however that there will be *some* dates in the UK/Europe and the US...We're projecting something on the order of 6 dates *total* on this project. But remember the record isn't finished yet, it won't be out until next year and many things can change -- either way. But to reiterate, there will be another Throwing Muses record...and how! As the record draws nearer to completion we'll be sure to update you all. We're all very excited right now! The second one. I like audience interaction. Maybe that's why I like theatre. Gimme a straight performance anyday. I do like *some* Tori interraction.. but she can keep her phonie "fuck ups" to herself. Not to mention she hasn't told a decent story since 1994... Frankly I don't give a #@(*$% if she "fell from the TAAAP [horrible yankee accent saying "top"] of the stairs and fell ALL the way down" in her fucking Prada shoes whilst shipping champagne with Beenie - how she got the opening line to Playboy Mommy. Who cares. Plus she has this awful habit of recycling the same story night after night.. only it loses its impact after the first time (read: Icicle getting told off by dad for masturbating after telling the girl at church circa 1994]. Don't get me wrong [to quote Pretenders song title], I *do* indeed "enjoy" Tori's stories.. as long as they're not rehashed ones, or boring ones about what fucking shoes she wears. I think that list was cool! The world would be a very fucked up place now (er, well even moreso than it is) if people weren't "bored" enough to make brilliant discoveries. Who knows.. that list may save your lives.. eg. if somebody put a gun to your head and said, "if you can't tell me who person 137 on the alphabetised oztori members list (past and present) as compiled by Andrew R is, then I will blow your head off". Oh, and Becc.. I *was* on that list babe - just under "He Who Is Called Nathan". But how nice to know you a) actually searched for my name on that list where it should have been, and b) noticed its absense! I'm thrilled. Nathan. . Yahoo! AndrewR wrote: > Story-telling... cause if we want by-the-note > performances, we'd stick on > the albums. Er, Tori *can't* do "by-the-note-performances". For example, she's ruined her voice, so she can't hit the high notes on the "I could have, I should have" part of Icicle, nor the chorus of Take to the Sky. Instead she gives us a high pitch breathy "heeeeeereee" in its place and thinks that it makes up for it. I'm sorry, but it doesn't. Plus she's never reproduced the amazing Icicle intro live. Maybe she can't. Piano-synching in the studio, anyone? ;) Nathan. . Yahoo!
