I'm sick of people thinking that my name is "li" and calling me "li" (in person) consequently. If I don't introduce myself as "li", people really shouldn't start calling me that all willy-nilly! OK, a possible 'speaking point' - I've been meaning to mention this for a while... you know I never really worried about people screaming in live Tori shows - (i.e. the ones i've heard from singles and mp3's) I used to think it was cute... especially the "Hey Tori!" during "Little Drummer Boy" - - so well timed! Anyway I've begun realising how fucking annoying it is - OK, I hate when people do nothing - so I mean going wild for a song you recognise is great and it's brill if you go wild at the end of a song, but what is it when people scream or call out annoying things during EVERY breath Tori takes!?! OK, not having been to any Tori concerts I can only assume it is one freakingly overwhelming experience, and that these people are just getting caught up in the 'wow' factor of it all, and who knows maybe I'll end up being a dick and yelling during a break in one of Tori's songs - if I ever end up seeing her live, but LISTENING to it on those recordings you just go a la Lenny and Carl from the Simpsons... Sssshhhuuuuddddduuppppp! Some ones I've noticed I hate... "Over the Rainbow" from Hey Jupiter single I think it is - I don't know if it is the recording but that audience is so fekking loud. I also have a pet peeve at "MYRA-ELLEN!!!!!!" I mean it ISN'T her name anymore - or is it more "oh very good you've read a Tori bio"!?! I do love the one where Tori stuffs up a song and says I've gotta eat some SEEEAfood -or something like that... and of course her "I'm SUCH a Ding-a-ling" line. These are Tori though, not an annoying crowd member. I'm not saying that they are ALL annoying - but some of them are particularly annoying. I agree with you 'whole heartedly'. The Americans are notoriously bad for doing this. It's like.. they scream when they hear the first piano line of a song... and then they scream AGAIN when they hear Tori sing the first line.. and the second line.. To the point where you can't even fucking HEAR her sing beneath the screaming. THEN they scream at selected predictable points - eg. "so you can make me cum, that doesn't make you Jesus"/"boy you best pray that I bleed real soon". It's like.. WHY bother? Although.. I have one live mp3 of "I'm On Fire" which people yell out stuff during it.. which I think on that partic version is cool.. But ONLY that one! I think generally it ruins it - spesh eg. on the 'Lovesong' live on harpsichord from '96 mp3 I have when you hear some guy scream "YEAH!" really loud - so loud I have ot remove my headphones for it, just after the chorus. Gimme a dead silent audience anyday. WORSE still.. spesh during some of the 5.5 weeks tour stuff.. on mp3's I have.. you can hear audience members TALKING throughout the WHOLE fucking SONG! Grrrrrrr. > Some ones I've noticed I hate... "Over the Rainbow" > from Hey Jupiter single > I think it is - I don't know if it is the recording > but that audience is so > fekking loud. Oh yes that is shocking. PLUS Tori's version of that song is SO over-rated. It plods. It's boring. Her voice is like 99% breath. Can't she sing a song properly for once? > I also have a pet peeve at "MYRA-ELLEN!!!!!!" I mean > it ISN'T her name > anymore - or is it more "oh very good you've read a > Tori bio"!?! I'm waiting to hear the final arrangements cuz I >trashed the old emails and can't remember what day it was. Sunday? If >both time and money are good to me, I'll be there. > >~Becc. :) Well, it's going to definately be Muholland Drive? I think it's only on at the Dendy - which is central (George St. City). I guess it would be good to meet before hand!?! Considering I've never met any of you - except for Zac, and it doesn't look like he's going to go. Where could we meet before hand... that coffee club on the corner of the Mall and George? somewhere else? Also depends on what time it is showing on Sunday. Although main peeve of course again is that dickheads in the audience are still screaming out up until 40 seconds into the song. Losers. Which brings me to the broader question.. WHY is it that humans [well English speaking westernites] always yell out "WOOO" and not something else? Where did "woo" originate from? Stay tuned for future riveting instalments to this list for further discussion on the matter. Nathan. . Yahoo!
