I've been on this list for years...but lately I have been slightly pre-occupied by other things and have just been scanning through subject headings, reading the intersting looking e-mails and not posting that often. For the above reason I am allowed to ask the following question (without getting flamed) which may have already been answered: Is the Tori DVD ever going to get released in Australia (or elsewhere with region 4)? or has it already and the music stores on the Gold Coast are just a bunch of slack-arses. I thought I read where it was cancelled full stop - since Tori left Warner? I *could* be talking out of my arse though. So you're on the Gold Coast eh? Have you met Ms. Nerida Hooykaas - Gold Coast's most effluent... err affluent Tori-ite ;o) j/k luv ya Neri... where the hell is that girl anyway!?! Daniel G - how many people are the actually on this list? P.S. Still cleaning my room - and I opened up this battery-powered light thingy... anyway I got this red/brown stuff on my fingers - the frelling batteries had just decomposed! How cheap (well they were cheap batteries) so the lights and the batteries are all in the bin destined to poison a land-fill somewhere, with mercury, lead, cadmium and a whole sort of other lovely elements! Tori Elements! LOL! - what Periodic Element are her albums!?! Would To Venus and Back be... Sulphur!?! or Hydrogen!?! or maybe a compound - sulpher dioxide!?! plenty of that on venus. Did you know that the surface of Venus is so hot, and the pressure is so great that it melts lead. Something probably lives there! Strange Little Girls could be those Lanthanide and what-it's-name series - those ones (where some of them) don't actually exist naturally or for very long and have wierd names like Neptunium, Lawrencium, Americium and Eistienium! Little Earthquakes would be your Lithium, Sodium, Calcium etc. YKTR would be your transition metals ;o) Aluminium, Iron, Nickle etc. Boys For Pele? Inert Gases? Helium, Xenon, Boron, Neon!?! or your more corrosive elements, Oxygen, Fluorine etc. And for the heck of it lets make From the Choirgirl Hotel Iodine. ;o) Maybe Under the Pink could be... Platinum!?! Mercury!?! The compilation of tracks that don't officially exist like "Snow Cherries" and "To the Fair Motor Maids of Japan" and "Zero Point" we can assign Technetium! Since it doesn't actually exist (I don't think). Still Orbiting, I think can be bizzare sounding elements... like Yttrium. ;o) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 15 Jan 2002 16:29:25 -0800 (PST) From: Nathan R Subject: Re: [oztori] Cover Me Justin Gittins wrote: > Is the Tori DVD ever going to get released in > Australia (or elsewhere with > region 4)? There's been stuff on the Dent (thedent.com) about this... and at this stage it doesn't look like there are any plans from Atlantic to make/release this (slack bastards!). Since Tori has now left Atlantic... "realistically" (sp?) it seems the only likely way "we" will get a DVD release is if they put out a Tori "Greatest Hits" of some sort, and release all her videos on a DVD to accompany it... if they can be bothered. On to Tori related stuff, I am a member of the official Tori website. Being run by Atlantic, which is a death much appreciated, was wondering if the Epic thing had gone ahead and if a similar thing is happening with that.
