Wow. Nath... You have waay too much time on your hands! ;oP http://my.yahoo.com.au - My Yahoo! - - It's My Yahoo! "Coinslot my butt crack" - Christbait I have no idea what the lyrics are, but I'm sure there's some misogyny that needs responding to in there somewhere. "Darklands" - jesus and the mary chain Its a classic! The little doo doo doo bit would be awesome. "One" - U2 This would be beauuuuuuttiiiiiiifulllllll. In the vein of "lovesong". "The Mercy Seat" - Nick Cave + Bad seeds This would be awesome. In the vein of "blood roses" maybe. "This is our last goodbye" or "grace" - Jeff Buckley I think Tori could do a really.... sad version. A "so we part" Hey Jupiter kind of thing. "Drowning Man" - The Cure Awesome lyrics. Great from female perspective. "Heart shaped box" - nirvana Again, I think tori's piano take on this could make it a fantastic reworking of a song. Really sad, but beautiful. "For you" - my dying bride The lyrics are awesome. The piano would go fiery in the chorus. "lost art of keeping a secret" queens of the stone age I don't know why! It could be the woman saying "You keep MY secrets first, you fucking stoner!" "steal my kisses" Ben Harper I think it would sound great on the piano. "This Corrosion" or "temple of love" sisters of mercy CLASSIC. I'd love it. The choral bit at the beginning of TC, the wailing in temple of love.... it'd be awesome. "You remind me of the babe" David Bowie (I think that's what it's called) Well, I love the film. The clip could be tori in her YKTR gear on the escher stairs..... ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 13 Jan 2002 03:11:21 -0800 (PST) From: Dan Stapleton Subject: Re: [oztori] [OzTori] My choices for SLG - --- Li wrote: > "Street Spirit" - Radiohead wow, you're so right. > "This is our last goodbye" or "grace" - Jeff Buckley (anal) don't you mean Last Goodbye? Nathan's SLG pick - >1) Bizarre Love Triangle - New Order This could work. I'd like to hear that. >9) Killer - Adamski/Seal >Would be interesting to hear Tori's take on this. Interesting? Devistating. No! I adore Seal's version of this and was horrified by the 2000 version. No more covers of this! I have spoken, therefore it shall be. *tut tut* I think Tainted Love - Soft Cell would be a good entrant. She wrecked I'm Not In Love, but I think she might be able to do this one. I'm not happy with her version of Hurt - NIN. Heard the other night. It's just WRONG! "But I'm Experienced, Babe" is a crack up. Also heard that the other night. The original was credited just to Adamski (although featured Seal's vocals), and came out a year before Seal's album. Nathan - Officially certified as having 'too much time on his hands' by Rala, Dylan, and apparently the rest of the universe. Deal with it. . Send FREE video emails in Yahoo!
