And no, I've not heard the song.. and am not a Britney fan - I just happen to know this, ok? Anyway, I'm sure the 'co-writing' consisted of nothing more than rhyming one or two words (top) here and there (if anything at all). An ex-friend of mine has S Club 7's "Don't Stop Moving" single (lol, no wonder we're no longer friends ;), and the writing credits on that are given to S Club 7 + 2 other people. Yeah, as if it really took NINE people to write that "song"!!! LMAO. Other infamous co-writing credits of our time include: *Spice Girls getting co-writing credits on their songs *Madonna getting a co-writing credit on "Justify My Love" with Lenny Kravitz. Lenny threatened to sue and Madonna's name has since been dropped from the credits.. hahaha. Someone covered it, and it was just credited to 'Kravitz'. So folks, don't believe everything you read in song-writing credits. Makes you wonder... WHO exactly is the mastermind behind Tori's songs ;) And did Tori's bro Mike *really* deserve a credit on Baltimore? (lol, who would admit to writing that in the first place). Nathan. . Actually, Nathan, as Madonna's publisher, I have to correct you - she is credited as having a 10% share of "Justify My Love" because she wrote ADDITIONAL LYRICS to the original song, which was co-written by Lenny Kravitz & Ingrid Chavez. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Oct 2001 13:19:54 +1000 From: Daniel Hirning Subject: Re: [oztori] Better get a lawyer (ot) Friday, October 26, 2001, 1:01:47 PM, Nathan wrote: NR> He'll make a GREAT lawyer then! LMAO.. The "additional lyrics" were only like one or two words changed. Just like I'm sure Madonna really 'co-produces' all her stuff as well. Give her a break. The woman has huge amounts of intelligence (who cares if she can play an instrument or not? I'm considered to be quite intelligent [if we're talking about booksmarts here] and I can't play a freaking instrument!) and should be respected for her ability at staying in the music industry so long, if not for anything else. Right.
