Starsign: Cancer Anticipated Date of Death (go to www.deathclock.com to find out!): As I said to someone last night. I plan on living forever. So far, so good. Anticipated Cause of Death: Probably suicide after being made to go somewhere that plays top 40 music constantly. Thing(s) you can't stand about Tori: Hmm, there's a couple of things I can think of: * She appears to be attempting to appeal to the more mainstream market, and well, the mainstream market is full of fuckwits. Top 40 music is utter shit. I periodically check the Aria's top 50 singles, and there might be 5 bands in there who I think/know are okay and have earned their place by having good music, not good marketing. The album charts are okay though. * In the live version of "Precious Things" she does in the "Live in NY" video (I think it's that one) she drags out the word "girl" as "grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl" and it seriously just makes me want to slap her. Thing(s) you can't stand about this list: People can sometimes be bitchy and narky, but I think other people have alraedy stated my main annoyance. The amount of bullshit posts. People posting/replying for the sake of posting/replying. Some will say that it helps keep the list lively, but it just makes me not want to bother reading it. Single worst Tori song in your no-so-humble opinion: I dunno. YKTR is pretty awful all around. Tori's worst career move in your opinion: Trying to appeal to the mainstream market. There's enough shit music out there all ready. I don't want to see more, especially from Tori. Your career advice for Tori: Don't forget how you got where you are. Your fans got you here, show them some respect. An AU tour would be nice too. Most embarrassing album/single you own: I'm not sure. I have a few dodgy singles from when I was younger, however fortunately, top 40 music these days is so shithouse, that everything i own looks like works of art. Hmm. I did own the macarena single once, but I redeemed myself and gave it to a girl I was keen on instead. 2 birds with one stone. Most embarrassing album you'd *like* to own: I'd only be embarassed if i thought it was shit. I don't buy shit. Stupid previous career aspirations: Hmm, had a few over the years, dunno if I'd call all of them stupid. Like most kids, I once wanted to own a toy shop, then I got into computers and wanted to be a programmer. I went with that until I got to uni, discovered UNIX, and learnt more there, and that's basically the area of trade I work in now. Stupid future career aspirations: I'm very happy with what i"m doing now, I learn ltos of new things, and i plan on sticking with it and expanding my horizons as much as possible. There are some other things I'm considering doing on the side, but that would be for personal fulfillment, not for the money. Hmm, I wonder if I've given people enough of an impression that I really dislike mainstream music. I had an idea recently. Starting a website, lets call it www.shitbands.com where people oculd vote for bands and/or songs they hate the most. It would've been an interesting experiment. I'm quite confident the top 50 most hated songs would be very very similar to the top 50 singles charts. It is sad though, there's lots of talent going to waste producing shit music. Kind of similar with "wog culture" and their cars with exceedingly overdone stereo systems, which go to waste playing shit music. sjh ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 12 Oct 2001 17:39:51 +1000 From: "She who is called Michelle" Subject: Re: Re[2]: [oztori] Additional survey q'ns >frente rule. no correspondence will be entered into. >xoxo >Dan ;) Very well. OK What if 'father' in Father Lucifer was a VERB? Kinda along the lines of "God sometimes you just don't come through, do you need a woman to look after you?" - well Tori is saying that Lucifer needs someone to 'father' him, and she's just randomly assigning the duty to someone - ie, 'hey you over there, get and father Lucifer will ya?' Of course I don't really 'believe' this to be the case.. but I'm just having silly thoughts as we speak, so why not. Nathan. . Make a great connection at Yahoo! I didn't even cry when I saw Dancer at the cinemas. But ohhhh....!!! *sob sob sniff* What a brilliant movie. Definitely an all time favourite. Frente rock!!! I used to love them. I remember we made up new lyrics to Accidentally Kelly Street once, the chorus went something like this: "Accidentally this album got released when I fucked the boss, and his niece Accidentally this album got released and after the orgy, I'll sign the fucken release" Or something. Hehehe. Also featured the fish from the cover, Marvin, singing in the shower with other naked people, or something. I had a joyful childhood......bwhahaha Lastly, I guess, Tori is cool. ~AndrewD~ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Oct 2001 16:35:54 +1000 From: "Lavenda" Subject: [oztori] articles anyone?
