So, good on you l'il dan. > Hey Gumbies! I think in a way just about everybody feels like they're going to go off the edge in one way or another. It's a shame that all this 'institutionalisation' talk has gotten so serious, but then maybe it's not a shame because it's such a serious thing. All I remember is that it was first bought up in jest, and then it just got too serious. I am coming off anti-depressants at the moment, I began them in January of this year and have been taking them for 9 months. I know I became a lot more stable and generally happier when I began taking the tablets, and now I feel generally better than I did 9 months ago. I don't believe I was anywhere NEAR institutionalisation, but it must be very easy to become that close. So now it's been a few days since I took my last tablet, and the one before that was about 10 days ago... it's working, and they're not addictive at all.... I sort of forgot what my point is, I guess the bottom line is that if you don't laugh at it then all you can do is cry. I don't think anything much is worth taking to heart in this life, and not too much is worth taking personally either. My parents were very worried when I told them I was on anti's, and so were a lot of other people; but it was only because they didn't understand them, and didn't understand what I was going through. It's easy enough for people on the outside to say 'come on, get it together, grow up, stop feeling sorry for yourself etc', and they probably don't think they're doing anything wrong. But they can not possbily know what's going on inside my brain; they couldn't possibly have known, so they would have preferred to be ignorant about it. Anyway, all that stuff happened months ago now, and everybody has forgotten about it; well, most people. My boyfriends' ex won't let me see his children because 'I'm on anti-depressants' - but that's the most hypocritical thing I've ever heard of because SHE'S on anti-depressants as well!! Nonetheless, it was that little episode that sparked the idea that I should really stop taking the anti's, so I'm right on track... Fucking sorry if this has bored the pants off everybody!! Jeez, pretty long way of getting a simple point across! Bottom line, I didn't kill myself, I got myself all better, and now I'm almost on top of the world. Please, let's all love one another.... I know I love Nathan R!
