Hey, my boyfriend calls me 'Lizzie' because I remind him of a lizard... isn't that nice?? I think it's cause when I cough, my tongue, by some strange means of reflex, always slips out the left-hand side of my mouth. Veeeeeery strange. But I give up, I guess you can call me whatchya want. I just got on the Main Tori Forum in the dent, and there was a thread there that's currently right up the top about how apparently Tashy Hawley is sick, or had problems when she was born. Lots & lots of speculation, and now I'm thinking about it... but it really doesn't pay to brood on these things. There isn't much any of us well-meaning Oztorians can do, is there? I'm not wholly convinced it is a piano. Well, not an acoustic one anyway. It sounds more like a bell/chime to my ears.. much like the one in Upside Down. Regardless of which 'instrument' it is, it's hardly a prominent feature anyway - hardly Tori 'playing it on a piano' as some reviewers would have you believe. Tori doesn't even play the music on the track. Speaking of '97 Bonnie & Clyde... something just occurred to me last night. The whole string section & mood of the track is not completely unlike Kate Bush's "Under Ice". Nathan. . Listen to your Yahoo! NO 'WALKABOUT'!?!?!?! That is just WRONG. 'Walkabout' (okay and 'Birthday' and 'F**cking in Rhythm and Sorrow' and, if pressed, 'Delicious Demon') is their best song! And my dog is looking at me which is quite unnerving. No thats not a sugarcubes song. >Now.. if only they'd follow suit and have a fucking >Tori special.. Yes, if only. Not like we don't already have all the clips (excepting, of course, The Big Picture, and perhaps Bliss and 1000 Oceans) but it'd be nice. *growly voice* raw/roi xoxo Dan ;) (not dAn) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Sep 2001 23:22:08 -0700 (PDT) From: Natty Subject: Re: [oztori] bjork is garbage - --- Nathan R wrote: > Wow, Rage actually has something half-decent on for > once this Sat'dy nite... Obsessed much?? It's the best fucking movie ever made. So damn good. A film has never had such an impact on me before. This one changed me, as cliched as that sounds. Heavy shit. Thats quite interesting actually because, having watched the commentary for "Fight Club" yesterday, Helena Bonham Carter (who is damn sexy) says that she didn't "research her role" and go to support groups (for people who don't know the story Helena's and Edward Norton's characters are both support group junkies) because she thought it would be invading or something like that (I'm just paraphrasing, obviously, i can't remember word for word). Also of interest was the fact that director David Fincher made a stunt guy dive down a quite long flight of concrete stairs 17 times and then proceeded to go and use the first take. Also, I prefer Marla's "I haven't been f*cked like that since grade school" line over "I want to have your abortion" (check the alternate scenes menu). okay i'm going to stop avoiding my essay now, xoxo dan ;) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Sep 2001 23:27:11 -0700 (PDT) From: Natty Subject: Re: [oztori] A.I. Hehehe, I actually really enjoyed that film. I was expecting utter shit, but I laughed *so* damn much, especially the part where Brendan Fraser is the over sensitive guy - omg!! The sunset!! LOL!!! Yeah, I liked it ;P > > For an awesome movie everyone should see The Gift - > with Cate Blanchett - > directed and written by Billy Bob Thornton - it is > *such* a good movie! As jealous as I am of that guy (he has Angelina! Damn lucky bastard), he's a fantastic actor. I haven't seen 'The Gift' yet. Want to though.
