Hell no, I don't think it justifies it at all. I think, though, that trying to understand the reasons people do things like this can go a long way towards preventing them happening again. The thing is, I'm starting to get bloody scared, you know, that nothing good is going to come of this. Nobody wants to do anything but punish the baddies and then go back to living their lives the same way as always. I live my life in the hope that things will start to get better, because we who exist now are the last generations that can do anything to stop the world from going to shit. But things like this come up, and you try to say to people, "Look at what's going on here! It's the same thing that's happened over and over, and it's going to happen over and over again if we keep on doing the same thing we've always done. Let's try something different!" and you just get attacked for it because people don't want to hear it. We live in a very special time and sometimes I remember that and feel very optimistic, but at times like this I just don't want to even keep existing in this world. People can be so damned shitty. Iraq? - i dunno.. its the only country i can think of.. :) what is the purpose of terrorism if they don't say what the cause is...??? SM replies: A few reasons I can think of. 1) By not claiming responsibility the attackers create more confusion and fear. The unseen 'enemy' is far more terrifying than the seen. Thus the effect of their terrorism is magnified. The US is a nation that needs an enemy. The unknown enemy will terrify them. 2)There may be more attacks planned. If the party(ies) responsible remain quiet they are more likely to succeed in future attacks. 3)If a nation state, such as Iraq, is involved not claiming responsibility avoids retaliation and a declaration of war, and allows further covert actions to take place. This is all very scary. The organisation required to pull this off is quite complex. I'm wondering if before long there will be a scenario such as in the movie "The Fourth Protocol", but which succeeds. That is terrifying. Did anyone watch the movie on the ten network recently called ATF? The movie will probably be something like that. Starts out with the WTC drama and the break-down/disillusionment of some character and then 'sensitively moves on to come-back of said character through some other, but related drama. A modern fairy tale reassuring the Americans (for whom the character represents) that they will triumph, that they will overcome the tragedy. And remember, if there is money to made, someone will produce the movie. Verses 2 + 3 read together. The WTC is destroyed but the pentagon remains. Further, the second part of verse 3 suggests the President is killed. If the "great leader" is the US as a whole (rem: Bush's speech, the US as the shining beacon of freedom), then we are in the shitter. Given the fourth plane did not reach its target, the second part of verse 3 may not have happened (ie White House/Capitol Hill/Camp David/some other target hit), making the quatrain only partly fulfilled. As Verse 4 is the conclusion, and given that it is a partly unfulfilled quatrain, we may spared the entirety of the prophecy.
