Or people that have had any form of anal sex? or SOMETHING like that....... hmmm...i dunno, maybe thats why it asks those questions on the form, do you get rejected if you say yes, thats a bit umm...tight???( dont think its the right word to use) >bit like hitler... - being a "great" man (not to be confused with a "good" man...) hitler was a smart cookie, he knew exactly what he was doing, until he dcided to attack russia in winter (daft fool), but he was brilliant although a dick >the rest of the world wouldn't even notice if the whole country just fell off the face of the earth... i whole heartedly agree >> its a country. i don't know which one... but it is.... - WWIII here > we come... dont say that. *please* don't even think like that. that is not gonna happen but there will be whole in the earth somewhere after the US is finished with whoever it was, me thinks hmmm...i'm at an end jas ps. i think channel ten is smart, b/c i know there are people out there who dont give a rats arse out there about whats happening in the US so good on them for showing actual shows, also i think the radio stuff on it is damn better than the tv, it seems more upto date - --"everybody wants to be individual" - get out of my head!!!! its driving me nuts - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Sep 2001 04:07:30 -0700 (PDT) From: Nathan R Subject: [oztori] I think you're a queer (but I can't be 100% sure) Daniel Hirning wrote: > Wednesday, September 12, 2001, 7:32:08 PM, Darwin > wrote: > > DC> Gay people can't give blood? BUT.. what has happened is just stupid. For whatever reason, America is viewed as this 'center of the universe'.. I mean, IF something similar had happend in Oz, you would *not* see it on all channels 24/7 there, would you? Similarly if it happened in any ohter country on the planet. And does anyone else think that George W. Bush just looked plain *scary* as he stared into the camera giving that speech? One thing I always hate with pollies is how their speeches are already written by someone else - so they're not even speaking *their* true mind. Nothing is as inexcusable as addressing 'the nation' in a speech like that, and then fluffing some of the words through hesitating by mis-reading one of them. It smacks of insincerity. But still.. at least Mr. Bush doesn't fucking stutter and sound soooooooooooooo monotonous and 'um' and 'ah' like Johnnie Howard. We need a prime minister who can SPEAK, dammit. *end rant* > ps. i think channel ten is smart, b/c i know there > are people out there > who dont give a rats arse out there about whats > happening in the US so > good on them for showing actual shows, Yeah, I agree. Yes, it's a great tragedy, this is undeniable. Probably the greatest that I've witnessed in my lifetime. But there are also other issues at play here. Becc expressed the ideas most eloquently in her email concerning the more global effects of the great imbalances that exist within what we call 'the human race'. Dan Hirning also mentioned that most people at his uni were talking about how people in 3rd world countries are dying, and this is all too true. But we don't see it on the news when a hundred, or even a thousand of them drop dead. I just wish that people could extend their vision of the human race to our brethren in 3rd world countries etc. Is it only so tragic because it's "people like us" who died - good decent white folks in their suits with their regular 9-5 jobs? Loath as I am to bring up the question of the refugees again (and surely it pales in comparison), it ties in to a similar point. Today I read a letter to the editor in some trashy tabloid paper saying that the decision to not let the refugees in was 'in no way racist' or some such. That's just plain bullshit. If that boat had been full of decent christian anglo folk, they would've let them get off on chrismas island. Hell, they would've sailed 'em straight on through to perth to all start happy new lives in the city. But it wasn't. It was full of dirty coloured people, that Howard didn't approve of. Open your eyes people. The world is a bigger place than our cushy internet-laden homes often let us see. There is more to the human race than a few thousand people in New York city. If any good comes of this, it is, I hope, that people will begin to see. Compassion, Jason xoxoxooxox P.S. Fear and Anger have been known to cause blindness. And war. You'd think the human race would've learned by now. But we're a bit slow. Gradually people are catching on, though. Listen to the voice of the people. Ever heard that John Lennon song 'Imagine'? I think it's wonderful. Some people say I'm an idealist. I say I'm a dreamer. 'Cause at night I hold tight to my dreams. Get email alerts & NEW webcam video instant messaging with Yahoo!
