how is jas or jasmina funny? - or do you mean funny as in weird funny? cos they arent weird funny either, just b/c they arent the regular dan dont mean they are funny more OTs, isnt bold and the beautiful the stupidest show on telly, its worse than tose other two crappy trashy US daytime soapies, and as i'm half watching it, it may be trash but its addictive trash that has you glued to the tube, i cant get over the trashy acting on another OT topic, if you wanna see something groovy, check this out - http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/image/0011/earthlights_dmsp_big.jpg its a pic of the world at night, a light show thingy, mega funky >www.aimster.com ugh...is that that aol thing, morpheus, use morpheus, url - dont have a clue, look it up dh>i can't believe they truly expect people to buy *4* of the same album to get all the covers! No, but I think at the moment Sophie has her own mistress/girlfriend/whatever you want to call her.. so I imagine the webmistress would be pretty upset about that, but ah what's a girl to do? lol Actually one scaything review once said that Miss Hawkins changed her name from "Sophie Hawkins" to "Sophie B. Hawkins" to differentiate her from all the other Sophie Hawkins around in 1992. Meanwhile Dan what would you do with a webmistress? (Hmm.. talking about month to the light questions lol) >Oh, do tell us the story! Ok.. well I was woking to the local shop to get some stuff and on the way I up I saw this guy dressed up wearing a tie (on a saturday mind you) and holding a book. I thought he was a bible basher and sang a little something to myself (something I wrote and won't share, after seeing how critical you people are of Tori I won't put myself out there.. lol) and kept walking. Anyway, as I was walking back he stopped me. I don't actually remember what his name is, so we'll call him Fred in order to recreate the conversation. Fred: Hi I'm Fred, and as you can see [points to name tag] I'm from the Church of Jesus Christ. Have you seen any of us around? John: Yes I have.. Fred: [looks shocked] Really? Where? John: [I wasn't sure if he meant that church specifically or bible bashers in general] Ah.. all over the place. Fred: Ah.. ok. Well I'm here to talk to people about this guy. [He picks up his bible where there's a picture of Jesus on a bookmark just poking out of it. I wondered if his next words would be "Have you seen this man? Fairly old, 1.5 metres tall, brown hair, strangely caucasion for someone supposedly born in the mediterraran.. answers to the name 'Jesus'] Fred: Do you have any beliefs about God? John: Well I do, but they're kind of touchy.. I don't think we should go there. [He looked really concerned, I was amazed he even heard me over the top of the roar of Botany road] Fred: Oh really? Why's that? [I was getting agitated by this point, eager to get home and consume the newly purchased frozen yoghurt.. Mmmm.. frozen yoghurt. A few people started walking past and he seemed caught between talking to me more or taking up the conversation with them. I saw this as my window of opportunity] John: Oh well I've really got to go now... it's been great talking to you [By the time I had said this I was half down the road] Fred: Well have a great afternoon won't you? And it's good you have those um.. beliefs in God. If you ever want to talk more about it just come and see us ok? I hadn't worked more than two metres before another one of them, from the same church, said "hello" although I just choose to keep walking. But really asking me for my thoughts on God.. I wondered if the poor boy knew what he was getting himself into. I should've just said "Yeah I regularly hang out with Pele, Hades and Zeus.. although Aphrodite has the attitude of Sarah Michelle Gellar and is never any fun". Just quickly... I saw He Died With A Felafel In His Hand tonight. It's a good film, umm, not one to be taken too seriously although the ending does take a slight serious note and then leaves you feeling happy anyways. It's one of those movies where you're perplexed as to what is going on, but at the same time you think you have a fair idea and then the story moves on and it's all funny again... it's the first film I've seen in ages (apart from Moulin Rouge) where I haven't walked out and not been able to speak/communicate at all (hello Boys Don't Cry and Dancer In The Dark...). I can't wait for the sequel (providing there will be one) to He Died With A Felafel In His Hand (wow what a long movie title), the Tasmanian Babes Fiasco was such a funny book, and an excellent sequel to HDWAFIHH (just to add another abbreviation to the list). Both books are hysterically funny. Bitch/rant time... DRIVERS!!!!!!! OMG!!!!! What is it with people who randomly change lanes on highways, crossing like 3 lanes in one big lane swapping bonanza, without even looking!!! Just one big woooooosh across all lanes and they think everyone will just get out of their way.... it's happened to me twice in two days where I've come very close to being run off the road because of it, and that would be bad!! Moths!!! WHY do they ALWAYS feel the need to fly into my face! The worst thing about moths is that they don't just buzz about you.... they just go straight for the face and will continually bang into your face until you whack them across the room with Lleyton Hewitt type stealthy arm movements.... Last one... blood noses. Only because I just got one (probably thinking about how irate moths make me). Stolen items... I once stole a Mars Bar from Safeway in a dare when I was 13 or something in some attempt to be "cool", and to follow that up when I was 15 I stole my Dad's car and wrote it off..... oops.... I was going to say something Tori but there are strange noises coming from the next room, so I must go and investigate... Oh! Who is going on Thursday? I've conned a couple of friends into coming... anyone know what time it's going until? I apologise for my friends in advance, they are very much like me and will probably have to apologise for me on Thursday. Oh and lastly, (I couldn't be bothered re-doing that whole profile thingy so I just picked one thing); Number of people converted to Tori - eight! I'm such a super salesman.... The story is that Jennifer and co. had such a great time doing it that they are going to do a new series of Ab Fab! It started about 6 mins late, and the music guests were Michael franti and Spearhead... and they did play them. However, this was the Aug 29th ep (don't ask me why... though I suggest teh tennis had something to do with it). Going by that Tori's ep should be on the night of 28th of Sept (or teh morning of teh 29th if you prefer). But I'll keep checking it to make sure. One theory I heard is that of toris albums, UTP is the least reliant on its creator, or a knowledge of her personal circumstances. In that sense it is more accessible in being more abstract, whereas BFP benefits from some background on the breakup with eric, FTCH toris miscarriage, etc. LE has always been my least favourite tori album, behind even TVAB. I got into tori relatively late, just after FTCH was released. So LE was not my first exposure, as it was for so many. It has been described to me as being like a journal, and I agree; it is much too prosaic for my taste. to me, its like tori has Just opened the floodgates on a means of expression, and theyre still a bit rusty, they have not yet fully opened. I love girl, but it was described to me as just an (inferior) reprise of the themes of silent all these years. Little earthquakes is overlong and the vampire imagery is a bit lame IMHO. the "Doesnt take much to rip us into pieces bit is nice tho. In fact, I would venture to say after the first five tracks, the album as a whole is a bit patchy. *ducks* bless, john. * I'll be seeing you around, Every corner has its favourite sound * _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Sep 2001 14:39:11 +1000 From: Daniel Hirning Subject: [oztori] bloody hell you people have been busy... i have 2 options... reply to all the emails, or not reply at all... i'm taking the later.. you people have just have too much time on your hands ;) dan.the.man. dan@danhirning.com www.danhirning.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Sep 2001 21:41:04 -0700 (PDT) From: Nathan R Subject: [oztori] Tori content for once Andy D wrote: > Last one... blood noses.
